Hey guys, another exciting day has come to an end and it´s time for me to share my thoughts with you again. This was my last day here in Hannover, as I´ll be leaving tomorrow morning. Roald van Buuren and Arndt-Gerrit Kund will be arriving tomorrow though making sure you get the latest results and news from the Global Finals here on fnatic.com.
Sam Mathews and Neil Kirk from the fnatic.MSI management already arrived on scene today. They will be at the MSI booth as well as taking care of the players. Lucky for them the MSI booth is located in the hall next to the Intel Gaming Hall. We only had a short chat, as they had to pick up Hafu from the airport, but Sam and Neil seem to be really nice. It was nice to finally get to know the people in real life you only knew from the internet before, both the management and the players.
Speaking which, I met the guys from mTw.dk today as they, Ben Woodward from Crack Clan and me drove to our accommodations in the same car. They must be some of the nicest progamers out there. I mean, about half an hour before, they won the Continental Finals and 25,000 bucks, but everybody was thanking me frienly for waiting like 2 seconds for them and holding the door open.
Anyway, mTw.dk seem to be unstoppable right now. If I would gamble, I would put my money on them. I can not think of a team which is able to beat them. Although Alternate was pretty close to make it happen today. If you missed the Grand Final between these two teams, make sure to download the replay from ESL TV.

The map played was de_train. Alternate started as Terrorists and won the first three rounds. mTw.dk answered by winning the first buy round without losing a single man and started building a momentum. Sunde showed why he won the Counter-Strike Player of the year award in 2008. This guy´s AWP is just incredible. After whimp decided an 1on1 against roman to his favour, the halftime score was 11:04 and it looked like this would be soon over.
Especially after Sunde came up with huge frags in the pistol round and lead his team to a 14:04 lead. Alternate striked back in the fourth round, but mTw soon made it 15:05. The Swedes from lag-blank who were sitting next to me did not believe Alternate could get back into the match, neither did me or anybody else. No wait, there was somebody: The guys from Alternate. Using three AWPs turned out to be the way how mTw.dk could be stopped. It was mooN in the twelveth round who came up with three AWP frags on the inner bombspot to keep Alternate´s hopes alive. Whimp and roman ended up in an 1on1 in the last round once again, but it was the German who won the round this time. The score was 15:15 and the match had to go into overtime.

Well we know what happened next, mTw.dk´s confidence paid off at this point. Losing 10 rounds in a row seemed not affect them at all. They went home $25,000 richer, while Alternate got $10,000 for the 2nd place. fnatic.MSI finished 4th after losing to MYM in the Lower Bracket Final. The team is really dedicated to what they do. They just could not believe what happened and started to analyse the loss immediately. After grabbing some food, the guys returned to the location to start playing again, what shows how dedicated they are. While f0rest was trying to improve his movement skills, cArn placed some headshots on fnatic.MSI´s deathmatch server. If you haven´t done it yet, add the server to your favourites, as you can find your idols playing there from time to time. I really think this team has the potential to be #1, their time will come.
I want to thank Sam and Anne who made my trip to CeBIT possible. I also want to thank MSI, SteelSeries, CM Storm, Bestpoker.com, ugame.net and all the other partners supporting fnatic. And last but not least thank you for reading my content.
