Hey there, it´s Andreas live from Cologne, Germany. As we got several teams attendings events at gamescom, I decided to go there as well. We have Sam, the CS Team, the DotA Team and Spartie, while i have not met the latter yet, but let´s start from the beginning.

The trip started on Friday evening and would last the hole night. I took the Night Train from Munich to Cologne, which was scheduled to arrive at 6am. Of course it did not arrive at 6am and had 45 minutes delay, but I did already expect this. As the convention opened its doors at 9am, there was just the right amount of time left to have a nice breakfast at Segafredo and then head to the venue.

When I arrived at the right station, I could not believe my eyes. There were countless people that had the same weekend plans like I did - visiting gamescom. Suddenly I heard Patrik´s (cArn) voice behind me, and it was really him together with Team Sweden. After walking several minutes to find Hall 9, the hall where the real action takes place, the guys set up their equipment and Johan (face) and I finished the interview you can find here on fnatic.com

There were several matches today, the QL Grand Final, Female CS and the European Nations Cup. Team Sweden had some problems to get things going in their first match against France, but turned things around early enough. As you might already know, the Scandinavians have eventually won the hole tournament. Germany was a strong opponent in the Grand Final, constantly being pushed by the audience, but the team made too many mistakes during the match and Sweden defended their title.

The DotA Team also managed to win their respective tournament, so it was a really good day for FnaticMSI. It turned out to become even better, as FnaticMSI.CS have received the eSports Team of the Year Award and Christopher (GeT_RiGhT) winning two awards as well. Sam and the players have decided this is a reason to celebrate and went to the ESL Players Party a few minutes ago. I really would have enjoyed going there as well, but as I have barely slept last night, I decided it was better for me to skip the party and go to bed earlier instead.

This means I might have to care for the guys tomorrow morning and make sure they wake up for the Extreme Masters Supercup, we will see :D

Okay so this is it for today, writing a blog was the last thing on my To-Do list for today. Make sure to check fnatic.com for more stuff.

Cheers,

Andreas
