Hey guys,

a long day is slowly coming to an end for me. It was the first day of the GameGune 2010 event, which started at around 11:00 CET and concluded at midnight with the last Groupstage matches for today. We will see some more Groupstage matches tomorrow morning, followed by the long awaited Playoffs.

So let's start at the beginning. I got to the venue at around 10 a.m. and grabbed myself a chair in the press area. Unfortunately, I was told shortly after that the internet doesn't work yet, so we couldn't do any live updates. I got to know Luís and Marc from HLTV.org as well as Zerogravity, the teammanager from Na'Vi. Tall guy! Internet still didn't work, so I decided to take some pictures of the four teams present at this time and of course watched Na'Vi playing. It was the first time I saw them playing live. When they were warming up, I watched markeloff playing CSDM, and it was sick. I mean I have seen him playing before, but never while standing behind him. His AWP skills are truly impressive.

So Na'Vi dominated their Group A as expected and even received a default win in the Round-of-16. I hope that they show up earlier than the rules require them to, so I can try to get one of them to do an interview with me. Group A was finished, but the internet still wasn't working. I wanted to upload the interview with Gux and the pictures I had taken of Na'Vi, so what should I do? Inspired by the girl from fragbite, I took my laptop and plugged in the network cable of a players' PC. Nobody was there anyway, Group A teams had already left and Group B and C teams hadn't shown up yet. I managed to upload the interview and the pics in the few minutes I had before cyx was standing behind me. Luckily, he was patient enough for me to finish the uploading.

When I returned from grabbing something to eat, Patrik aka cArn and the guys were already done setting up their equipment and playing some CSDM. Been nice seeing the guys again, as I haven't been to an event for some time now. I was really happy to see Gux having fun and playing well, firstly because he is one of my favourite players but also because he is in my HLTV Dreamteam :P It was back then when internet was finally made available in the press area. I decided to do the video interview with Patrik, it was my first video interview ever, so don't judge me too hard :) The guys didn't have any problems during the Groupstage and we decided to grab dinner after Patrik and Chris did some quick interviews.

We met TaZ from Frag eXecutors, who was on his way to the venue, and eventually decided to have dinner at the hotel. Although I don't understand Swedish, it seemed like Patrik aka f0rest did regret his choice :D So we finished our dinner and the guys decided to go shopping, as Chris' bag with his clothes got lost on the way to Bilbao and he thought that he would need new ones. He eventually got his bag when returning from the shopping trip, haha, but clothes are always a good investment I guess.

So now I'm lying on my bed and the clock shows 02:18 CET. A long day has come to an end for me with this blog, I will be back tomorrow/later today, when day two of GameGune begins. Make sure to stay tuned for more stuff and follow the event here on Fnatic.com!
