Hey everybody!
My name is Irene, im 26 years old (omg!) and im from Spain, where I currently live in. I think that a long introduction can be boring so I will just say that I started playing this game because of a very boring summer that I had to spend at home in the sunny Spain due to a surgery in both of my feet... my parents are still blaming about that surgery haha!
Before I start, does anyone of you knew that I actually was part of fnatic when it was created (2004)? (ofc not, thats why im telling you). I understand why fnatic doesnt actually have had another female team since then...we were so bad!!! hahah The only valuable person that was in my team was my amiga aNouC. You all might know her cause shes very famous, and I would say that I havent known any better person in this industry. She has a very 'good eye' and she always predicted fnatic to become a giant!
Ok, now that you know a little bit of my gaming side, i will go for my real-life side. Right now Im studying Bioquemistry at the university (you might have notice with this reading that we dont recieve english classes there ... hahaha). Bioquemistry is the love of my lifeeeeeee (apart from my dog & cat) and I dream about being a good scientist in the future. If theres any science lover out there reading this blog dont stop yourself from posting any good comment of it! :D
God I look so weird, right? I mean everyone I know have told me this, cause yeah, a girl playing computer games, who loves anime <3 and studying science, who doesnt like sweets and coca-cola...oh my lord a total geek!

Well, I think its enough for today. Keep reading my nerdie blogs and see u soon!

Haha, I remember when u where at my house and u told us all about this! Haha so freaking awesome, Bioquemistry, like what the hell?!??!?! :DD
A really awesome and good surprise!!!
Biochemistry...
I have to make polymers now which are biodegradable and biocompatible at the same time. (I'm studying chemical engineering) Polymers on which cells should be able to grow but when implanted in the body they should degrade after a period of time. Don't like it at all.
I don't know in which stage of your study you are, but you could consider going abroad for a semester. At least that's my plan on improving my english.
Haha, I wish I had an interest like that. Respect!
Nice blog <3
Nice blog Irene, and interesting study. You don't see many highly educated gamers :)
:D:D:D nice blog!
Nice blog Irene, keep it on!!!
nice blog, animes are cool :D
Thx everybody! ^_^
xzbition: but thats actually cool! so u are working on natural polymers, but what kind? proteins? carbohydrates? Of the synthetic ones I just know a little bit of polyesters, nothing else :/ im still a noob!
We're using a polyurethane which we make out of polycaprolactonediol, a diisocyanate and a butanediol. And because it's a urethane chains will have supramolecular interaction because of the hydrogen bonds. So by that we make a large polymer network.
The next step was to build in functionalities (you should think of factors that influence cell adhesion, if the cell wants to sit on the polymer).
And we have to find out if this can be done by hydrogen bonds, if these functionalities will actually attach to the polymer network by hydrogen bonds.
It's only a small part of the research done at my department, but I only get 4 credit points for it.
I think the department is researching on growing kidneys of your own cells on it.
nice blog , you are so good :)
ole, española, di que si! aj
nice blog i like CS very mutch infact i wan't to play for a pro team if i can ; right now i'm studing computer programing and electronic engenering in college i want to be a big programer ^^ but if i don't get the chance to be a pro gamer (even if i have the right skillz :p ) i'll make shur one of my kids will be . greatings from morocco xD
