Hi there again!
Well as you might know SPAIN won the Football World Cup Championship (if its thats the name...). Actually we were quite confident about the possible win there, since we won the last Eurocup 2 years ago, and this year we really had a good team.
Im living in a small city called Albacete, and when we made it to the final i decided to go to Madrid to watch it with the rest of the 500.000 ppl, in the streets!
Haha so crazy. The city of Madrid decided to put 3 huge screens in a big avenue so everyone can watch it there. Well, not everyone, if u wanted to see it quite good u should have go like hours before .... and omg, it was so sunny and hot down there, i actually almost fainted during the match :p.
While we were at ESWC Spain played the quarter finals against Paraguay. I watched it in the hotel with my spanish friends from bet4gamers and badGirls, we prepared (while "I") food and get ready to see it. So typical spanish to be eating the whole time... Ok that was quite interesting to see, we scored 1 penalty and everyone went crazy, running around the hotel, and suddenly there was a lot of confusion cause the goal we just did was disallowed ... luckly right after we managed to score again (VILLA :D:D) and go to the semifinals for the first time in our life!!!
Now a hard match, vs Germany. I have to say that i really thought we were going to lose, and since it was the first time we were in the semifinals i think everybody were happy enough with our players. But then the unexpected happened, we won Germany, the team who played the best in the last matches of the championship, not losing any match, scoring the most... but yeah, we have Puyol and his big head who made us score just once and go to the FINAL!!! Nobody couldnt believe it, everyone was screaming in the streets, with that thingie who makes sounds, with flags...crazy.
So I decided that since this experience could maybe just happens once in life I had to celebrate it with something special, and what is it more special than going to the capital of the country where everyone is cheering and watching the game in the streets? Here i go Madrid! They putted 3 huge screens in a big avenue called Castellana and I was in the third one. Before the game there was people singing and just making people have fun and forget how HOT was in there, omg, you may know that Spains weather is one of the hottest in Europe, we are next to Africa :P And with 500.000 people around you is even worst, you could feel the heat going out of the road...
While we were waiting for the match to start i drank 2 bottles of water and 1 fanta in like 15 seconds, but anyways during the first half I started to feel bad and i thought i was going to fall down or something, so i had to seat down for a bit... haha
The match was terrible, i didnt like either the 1st and 2nd half, but anyways we went to the time extended, and my favourite player, the one whos actually was born in my city scored, the most important goal in the whole history of the Spanish national team ...... everybody were huging each other, it doesnt matter if u knew that person or not, just happiness around.
I cant tell right now what happened just after the match because i would have to use 3 pages of this site but maybe in other blog I do it! You can imagine...!
VIVA ESPAÑA!
p.d: thanks to Kairi from bet4gamers who has helped me doing this blog, we are right now at Campus party, a lan party in Valencia, waiting to play!
p.d2: Rest in Peace cyx.

Good blog, you may should put there some pictures if you have any from Madrid ;) I was actually cheering for Spain since Czech Republic didn´t qualified and because I really like the way the spanish team was playing. So congrats, it was well deserved win.
Also goodluck at Campus party! Do you play with some girls there or mix with guys? :)
E VIVA ESPANA!!! just too bad Raul wasn't selected, he really deserves the title too, being spains Icon for such a long time. RAUL & CESC F. for the win :)

I think i'm the only one spaniard reading this blog, right? (At least posting...). It were great moments indeed. As you said Irene, this experience was really, really special, and i hope to feel it again in two years in the EURO Cup. Since WC2010, Spain is the kingdom of football :D
PS: I'm so sorry Roychez, but epic montages MUST be posted. http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/1530/1278943422869.jpg
Nice, I was there too :) but I was upset with the "huge" screens xD which were not big enough and these weren't at very high so the match was hard to see for me :D
But the ambient and it worth to be seen :)

Saludos desde Madrid :)
