Hiyall
Like some of you know, we've been to New Delhi, India to promote the new (soon to be released & extremely awesome) MSI GT660.
Wednesday - left to the airport at 17.00 to catch my first flight to London, which had no difficulties at all and i was very excited to finally be on my way to India! Though, this was not going to be the case for me, when i arrived to London, checked the screen to see what gate to go to, i saw that my flight has been canceled.. I talked with Virgin Airlines for a while and luckily they solved it in a good/fast and proffessional manner. They fixed me a new flight, though it was not untill Thursday at 13.00.. But that was also okay because they sorted out an awesome hotell for me that i could stay at.
Next day
This time the flight wasnt canceled luckily, so I got on the plane for 9,5 hrs and after arriving i was glad to finally get there. Untill they fucked it it up even more. Air India Lost my luggage, so i had to stay at the airport for 2,5 hrs trying to get that sorted out so i would get it some time during my stay here. So 5AM in the morning, almost passing out because i was so tired, and extremely annoyed because those people i had to talk to regarding my luggage was completly ignoring me. I've never been treated that bad by service personel before in my life. Anyway.... lets move on, after filing the report of lost luggage i left there as fast as i could to just get away from there. I went outside to get a taxi, which leads me to the next part of the hellroad... The traffic in india is insane, everyone drives as fast as they like and sometimes even on the wrong side of the road, but i didnt really care about that since i was so tired and just wanted to get to my hotel. BUT, then all of a sudden, the taxi was stopped by the police and he had to pay a fine or something, anyway. All of a sudden the taxi driver came up to me and told me i have to pay his fine. So i told him to go fuck himself, i've already paid my trip to the hotel. But he kept pushing me to pay him, so i got out of the taxi and talked to the police saying that he's forcing me to pay it. But they just ignored me and told me to get back in the cab. At this time i had NO idea where i was, it was 6 AM, tired as hell, scared cus i had to go with a taxidriver whom just tried to rob me and i had no luggage..
Anyway, he took me to the hotel safely and i met Elroy outside the hotel.
From now on it could only get better, and it reaaally did.
We stayed at Hilton Hotel Garden Inn which probably was the best hotel i've been to so far, the rooms was huge, the restaurant had awesome food, there was a pool on the roof which was insanely nice and the service at the hotel was very nice aswell. But at this point all i could think about was sleeping but since i was so late i coudnt sleep at this point, 2 hrs after i arrived i had to get to the event to meet all the MSI folks and then do some shootouts with the audience. It was really nice meeting the MSI folks, they where are really nice and they took really good care of us.
Im not gonna sum up every day that happened in India since it's very blurry for me because of very little sleep, its my own fault but i dont regret it since i really wanted to get out the most of India and not just have a bad experience of it because of the trip getting there.
Anyway, apparently we've got a lot of fans in India and meeting some of the Indian COD community there was really cool.
Also, getting to try the new GT660 was awesome, this laptop is really gonna revolutionize gaming. In my opinion, the only "reason" why a desktop could be superior before was that the laptopscreens only had 60 hz before. This beast has 120hz and now people dont have to plug in an external monitor to get the best refreshrates.
I cant wait to get my hands on my own!
So to sum up the entire india experiece in a few words would be "Hell's Road to Heaven"! ..
But the Indian airport managed to fuck things up even more for me, I didnt recieve my luggage untill i actually was about to leave India, and i had to talk to different people for over 2,5 hours to get my luggage. Oh, and i had to PAY to get my luggage back LOL.
Oh well, thats in the past now. I still like India but i hate India's airport more than anything else i can think of right now.
Thanks again Julian, Elroy & everyone else of the MSI staff for taking good care of us and it was really nice meeting you all!
Peace
