This is it. The tournement we’ve been waiting for forever, MLG. Not just MLG – MLG Orlando, the National Championship.

Saturday:
Rasmus (Fragtale) came to my place. I drove the car, and we came home unharmed, almost crashed, but with a Michael Schumacher man over it was never close. We ran some split-screen games on octagon to get use to it. Dunno if it helped, since he destroyed me, but Rasmus seemed to like it at least.

Sunday:
The alarm went off at around 6am, and we had about 30 mins to get ready to go, never been so stressed. Everyone in my family woke up and started to go off on me. “you need to leave now!”. “Ok”, I Said, still showering, my mom forgot my lunch, And we almost missed the train. So it was definitely a stressful morning.
We arrived at the airport in Amsterdam 6-ish, met Zyl (forreal) and his dad to pick us up. Felt so good to meet my team again, couldn’t wait to play. After dinner at Zyls place, we started to set up to get ready to play. We won most of the games the first day, and Stefan (MVP) played sick. Conor (Conz) had a sick overkill on heretic, guess who stole the killtack? Maybe next time bro.

Stefan ”MVP” Djordjevic impressed by his own stats.

Monday:
Woke up around 12ish, ate breakfast and went down to town. Roman (shinato) had school during day, So we figured we’d spend the day there with ½ of LLL.

When we got back Roman was also back home, we all ate dinner together and just chilled out. After dinner we played 5h straight. The games where still close, we seemed to clutch it at the end in almost every slayer that was close.
We only practiced AM gametypes the first two days, which was; Narrows TS, Pit TS, Cstruct TS, Heretic TS, Narrows- and Pit CTF.

Tuesday:
This was our best day; we won most of the games and played really, really well. Everyone in my team went huge; we had a spree of 12 games in a row. This day we also started to practice the last five gametypes; Heretic CTF and Ball, Cstruct Koth, Ons Flag and Amp TS. We played from 1-10pm with no breaks basically to get use to the intensity at MLG. We went to bed pretty early to get as much sleep as possible before our flight departure to Washington.

Wednesday:
Woke up quite early, packed our stuff to get ready to leave. Zyl called a taxi and we all said good bye.
The security at the airport was insane; every passenger had to talk one on one with a security guy and he asked several questions about your luggage. “Do you have any electronic devices, such as laptops, etc” The guy said, and I replied “Yes, I also brought my xbox”. He told me to stay foot and after a couple of minutes he told me I couldn’t bring my xbox. “Are you serious”, “Yes, I’m afraid you have to leave it here”. He waited a few seconds and looked at me. “No, I’m just kiddin’, would’ve been nice tho”. Haha.
Anyway, with my xbox on board we were ready to leave after 2hours delay, next stop Washington D.C.
So after our arrival in Washington we knew we had about 1h to get on our next plane to Orlando. After the customs, we literally had 10 mins to get on the plane. So we ran across the airport and made it in the last second, and when I say last second, I mean last second. But our happiness didn’t last long, after arrival in Orlando we started to realize our luggage where still in Washington. We reported our luggage missing and took the next taxi to our hotel.

Thursday:
This day showed to be a halo free day. Our Xboxes didn’t work because USA is USA. They can only provide us with 110V, while we need 230V to be able to play. So first off, we went down to our pool and chilled out in our Jacuzzi, and after that we went to town to do some shopping. Didn’t really find anything but we had a nice time and it felt good to do something besides halo.

Friday:
So Friday was finally here and we had our first game around 5pm. We got there pretty early to warm up. Didn’t drop a game and staked everyone, so it felt really good going in to the first game.
We didn’t get the start we were hoping for. We played passive, poor and our shots weren’t there, we struggled a bit in our first tournament match. But one of the reasons we did was because sneeka didn’t have a mic. So we basically didn’t have coach for the first two series on the Friday. We still got through Friday unbeaten and that felt good. We played bad and still won. Not convincing, but we won. So because our wins, we could go to sleep early and get ready for Saturday.

Saturday:
Everyone had a good sleep and felt so much better going into our first match vs. 11th seed. We knew if we beat them we could go far. And we did, pretty convincing. We played really well, and we finally started to click. And when we started to click Pwr and LLL seemed to struggle. I guess we choose the right day to struggle.
So we won round after round and played better and better for every round. After our win in WB6 we had a 3.5hours break. And it kind of killed us. We thought we should save our voices by not playing. So coming into LB3 against 1st seeded Surprise, we had a 30 min warmup because at the freeplay station people wouldn’t let us in to play. People who already have been knocked out refused to leave their stations. And that kind of upsets me.
Didn’t think more about that, and started to look forward to play them. So because of MLG strange system it was DO or DIE for everyone coming from AM. Never been so excited to play, we played really good and I knew we could beat them.
First game was Pit CTF, we got a sick start with a cap after about 30 seconds. We outslyed them but they got one more cap and won the game.
Heretic TS was the second game, the game is all black for me, don’t remember anything from this game but we won 50-49, thought this win would give us momentum for the next game. But they won the 3rd game on Cstruct Koth and 4th on Multiflag Heretic. So we got knocked out.
A minute after we got knocked out they called “FnaticMSI to station 10 for consolation match” eeeh? We just got knocked out, can’t we just play tomorrow? Well, we couldn’t. So we didn’t bring our game and it’s understandable.
So sad it ended this way, we could’ve gone even further.
Still quite happy tho after I heard Surprise placed 13th. We’re going to do whatever it takes to make sure it doesn’t happen again. Ever.
