Grubby departs from EG

In a short statement given by Scott Smith, Managing Director of Evil Geniuses, he mentioned that it had been a great honor to have Grubby representing Evil Geniuses around the world over the past two years. Still he failed to give an explanation as to why both Grubby and EG parted ways, but it seems likely that the Americans weren't satisfied with the perfomance of Shenkhuizen in StarCraft 2. Since the release of SC2 the Dutchman couldn't live up to his earlier success in Warcraft 3 and to this date has not achieved anything in his SC2 career.

Joining the ranks of EG in April 2009 together with his wife Cassandra, Happy and Ciara, Schenkhuizen has achieved numerous podium placements in WC3, including a second place finish at the World Cyber Games Grand Finals in 2010.

But this isn't the end of Grubby's Starcraft 2 career. He is still heading for the NASL and the upcoming MGL in Dallas this weekend. While being without a clan right now, there are rumours in circulation that Grubby could be getting a private sponsor and won't play under the tag of any clan.

With this step made, it seems that EG has finally shut down all last existance of their Warcraft 3 section.

The private sponsor he has gotten is none other than Steelseries.

    Wish him all the best.
