DH MSI Championship with 100,000SEK prize money

After announcing tournaments for Starcraft 2, Quake Live, Heroes of Newerth and two other games, the organizers of the biggest LAN in the world have now announced the last game and its prizemoney.  It came as no surprise that the last title would be Counter-Strike 1.6.

Sponsored by MSI, Plantronics and BenQ the MSI Championship holds a prize value over 100,000SEK and will be given out to the first three places. Starting with a Bring-Your-Own-Computer qualifier, the main tournament will feature 12 teams. The first guys that have been announced are none other than the Ukrainians of Na'Vi. They are already set to defend their title. Seven other teams will be announced in the near future.

This years DreamHack will take place from 18th to 21st June in Jönköping, Sweden. There are still tickets available, so make sure to reserve your seat soon.

The prize distribution:

1st- 60,000SEK (6723,29€)
2nd- 30,000SEK (3361,72€)
3rd- 10,000SEK (1120,59€)
Overall: 100,000SEK
