Blog: Trip to Fnatic.LoL gaming house!
Posted 2013-11-23 Rouffious
This is my first blog post about my trips to the Fnatic gaming house. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Jonathan "Rouffious" Rouffa, 27 years old and a part of Fnatic for half a year now. Been active in League of Legends for 3 years.
I usually write news about the team's performances, changes and keep you up to date on what the guys think about the game. Once in a while I go to the gaming house to get some video's up for the fans. Last time I made the following video's: Rekkles Interview, Puszu/xPeke/Soaz interview and a Team Interview.
Burger King for all!
Enough about me though, I left Friday after I finished my daytime job, picked up my cameraman and we headed out to the gaming house. We spent about 2,5 hours on the road to our destination which left us with enough energy to go get something to eat with the guys. Burger King for all!
Most of the guys seem to like the Crispy Chicken menu and chicken in general but then again, who doesn't like chicken? Sadly in Belgium we don't have Burger King so we made the best of it.
After dinner it was already pretty late and the team was finishing up their scrims and getting into some solo queue games. We did get to take some time out with Rekkles, who we just announced officially back into the starting line-up.
Props to Rekkles, he's one of the easiest guys to interview, very relaxed. I think I was more nervous than he was. A true professional gamer, the video should be uploaded to our Youtube channel and you'll be able to find it on the Fnatic website.
Saturday was the day of candy! The team is in full preparation for the IEM Cologne on Sunday so for me, it'll be a slow day since we can't take time out to shoot some video's. Hopefully later tonight we can work something out.
That does leave time however to check out the Haribo Candy Factory in Bonn! A place where you can buy everything in bulk from sour candy, sweet candy, chocolates,... They had it all, a store full of candy. It was a nice trip and eventually we didn't take that much with us, the damage could have been worse.
Back at the house the guys were scrimming some more. It's the first tournament tomorrow after their break so it will be interesting to see how they and other teams have been practicing and if they have evolved in the game or not.
Candyland a.k.a. Haribo Factory
Tomorrow it's IEM time! The guys will be taking on CLG or Turquality Blue, depending on the outcome of the game tonight. We'll be playing at 14:00 and hopefully we'll be seen in the Finals around 20:00 as well.
You can expect some more content coming up in the coming days as I plan to have xPeke talk about the 3.13 Patch notes and what the team's impressions are at the event. So stay tuned!
