02:35pm - Our Halo team has lost against Warriors with the 0:3 score and therefore finished the competition on 6th-8th spot. We want to congratulate them on reaching this far into the brackets, and wish them the best of luck in future competitions.
01:40pm - FnaticRaidCall Halo team has beaten Believe the Hype with the 3:0 score, and there for progressed into Round 11 where they will face Warriors.
12:00am - Yesterday marked an epic battle between our team and Team Instinct. Unfortunately our guys lost with 2-3 score and are now fighting their way up through the Losers Bracket. Hopefully they'll do well and we'll see another epic final.
|RD. 8||Fnatic||3:1||The Agency|
|RD. 9||Fnatic||3:2||apeX Str8 Rippin|
|RD. 10||Fnatic||3:0||Believe the Hype|
01:40pm - Unfortunately, aLive didn't find a way to make a comeback, so he lost the second game as well and finished his run within Top 12. We want to congratulate both players for their results and hope that they will do even better at next event.
01:30pm - aLive lost his first game vs viOlet.
01:00pm - aLive has begun his encounter with arguably one of the best Zergs out there, viOlet from team Empire. Rain has lost his match against Korean Zerg player Golden with the score of 0-2 earlier today, and there for finished his participatinon at MLG Columbus within Top 16.
The StarCraft II tourament has 30 players seeded accordingly from MLG Winter Arena with 16 going straight into the Pool stage, and another 14 will start their campaigns from round 6 of the open bracket.
Our two Terrans in attendance will be Lee Seok "aLive" Han and Seo Yong "Rain" Park who will both be starting out in the open bracket alongside 254 other players. With $76,000 to split between the top 16 everything is to play for, especially as finishing first bags the winner a nifty $25,000. The winning doesn't stop there as for the top eight finishers will be given an all-expense paid trip, including flight and a four night hotel stay, to the Spring 8-Player Arena.
aLive will be feeling very confident for his trip through the open bracket due to his win in the RaidCall Korean Invitational, a tournament in which he was able to beat the likes of Leenock and Seed to claim first place. The same goes for Rain, who was able to easily put aside EG.PuMa in IPL's Tournament of Champions 3-0, a great confidence booster going into Columbus.
The Halo team will be going into the tournament off the back of a very successful Lan at The LAN Network where they were able to bootcamp alongside two other teams. They were able to practice back in a Lan environment which they have not been able to do for some time since the Nationals back in November 2011. They finished their time at The LAN Networks with an overall record of 47-16, putting theirselves out there as the favourites coming into competition.
This year is very different though for the Halo, as their seeds for the 4v4 tournament are decided on their performance in the FFA. So being dominant at FFA is as important as being dominant at the team event as well. They will be looking for that top spot and to earn theirselves $20,000 out of the $56,000 prize pool there is for the 4v4 Halo tournament.
We will do our best to provide a great coverage that can satisfiy your e-sports hunger. Fnatic Fighting!
