Johan "n0tail" Sundstein has stated his thoughts about winning the MSI BEAT IT DreamHack Championship for the third consecutive time.

It was the biggest HoN offline event history and FnaticMSI.HoN were aiming for their third DreamHack win in a row, and they did it. However this time there was a lot more competition and team FRAY were able to take two maps off them which nobody had been able to do before. Overall it was a much tougher LAN for the boys and they had to really be at their best to win, but they did so and walked away with the 150,000 SEK and 5x MSI laptops.

"Yes, we definitely had a lot harder opponents than we've had on any lan so far and a few other things which also contributed it to be a hard LAN."

Next up for the boys is the NASL grand finals in California, a huge event and something new for the team. It will be fantastic for them to show USA how strong they are, also to show all spectators how great HoN is to watch and admire. This is the last event of the year, it will be interesting to see what will happen next with the guys.

"I personally can only say I'm 100% focused on NASL. Haven't really given what we're going to do after a single thought. It's hard to say what the future holds so no need to worry/guess."

They suffered their first offline loss at DH Winter, and this was against the finalists. They first lost to them in the group-stage, FnaticMSI's very first match of the tournament was a loss. Perhaps the fans got a bit worried whether this will be another FnaticMSI victory, or whether team FRAY from Australia will take the throne that FnaticMSI have been sitting on for a very long time now.

When it came to the grand finals, it was FRAY vs FnaticMSI and the first game went to FRAY, were FnaticMSI not able to beat the Australians? What was going on? People were unsure, but the series was in no way over, and FnaticMSI proved this.

"We were a lot more confident playing the finals simply because it was a bo3, we went on stage keeping their tri-heal and melee carry lineup in mind.
We lost the first game in the finals simply because of a drafting error, I don't think anyone really took the loss too hard but it was a strange feeling losing a game on stage."

In the second game of the final, it was make or break. FRAY only needed one more win to secure the victory, but obviously FnaticMSI weren't going to let this happen easily. The second game saw some very standard, safe picks from FnaticMSI, they knew what was on the line and weren't going to try anything risky.

"We picked to win, we didnt pick being concerned about the pase of the game. I didnt even think about any of the games being slow pase at all since it's a completely different story from player perspective to viewer perspective. We defienently picked to win, other dreamhack finals when we were up the first game we didnt choose heroes who would cripple the lineup just for the sake of the audience, we picked to win."

The third and final game of the tournament will go down as pure domination by FnaticMSI. Within 20 minutes the game was over, it was the FnaticMSI.HoN that everyone knew and loved. n0tail playing his infamous Pollywog Priest solo mid, something everyone wanted to see for so long. Something was different this game, a morality boost perhaps, whatever it was, it worked.

"Well, we expected them to do the standard dual lane mid and a solo lane top but instead they did what we did, send the hardcarry bottom and the solo mid and I think that really played into our hands, besides for me having a good matchup for mid, trixi on magebane went for runed before completing boots, which will increase the curve for gold gained per minute earlier than their carry since she completed boots first. But generally good plays good synergy and a game played into our hands made this game look very dominating."

There was an added sorry regarding FreshPro not feeling himself, he was very ill during bootcamp and before the finals was having some issues. However he managed to soldier on and do what he does best, win.

"We luckily knew very early into his illness that he wasnt at any serious risk physically and that obviously makes it easier to worry less, but for those who didnt see the 2nd game in the grandfinals it's pretty safe to say that fresh managed to pull his A game even when ill."

With the NASL grand finals being the last event of the year, people must be wondering what's next for FnaticMSI.HoN. What will they want to do in the new year? What would they like to see happen to HoN?

"As I stated earlier Im not sure what will happend after nasl, I hope hon will keep being a big esport game, maybe even grow but it would be nice to see some more focus on keeping the game balanced now that two major lan events soon will be over."

Overall, n0tail was very pleased with the DreamHack event, and of course his teams performance. He has expressed great appreciation to his team-mates in making the hat trick of DH wins. He also hopes that HoN will carry on growing and that this is only the start.

"Great LAN, great teams, ton of work put into making this run so smoothly. These lans are really part of my highlights of the year and hopefully will never stop being. Great support and great spirit, very nice to have a crowd which atleast felt like supported both teams! No offense to the opponent teams but my team was just too damn good at LAN. Most valuable players are my team! Also a shoutout to all our sponsors and my mom and dad."
