V-sync

Hey guys. I have a question about Vertical sync (V-sync).

I can see that all pro players use to have it set to "off". How come? I get really annoyed about the "tearing" (The lines which appears in your screen when it's off)

Are they useing V-sync off just to get 100 fps? Or is there another reason? Because there is many monitors nowdays out on there which can handle 100hz. Now I am talkin' about TFT. CRT have always roled TFT and in my optinion allways will.

Anyways... back to my question. F0rest, Carn,DSN,GeT_RighT, THREAT, Why do you play without Vertical sync?

I mean. You can still get 100 "real" FPS with the sync on.

F0rest, Carn,DSN,GeT_RighT, THREAT have you played so much that you don't even notise the tearing? Or is there anyway to get rid of the tearing with V-sync off?

Ty guys. peace

Btw, I am playing with a 120hz CRT.

Never tried v-sync off? Don't you see the difference? If you set it on it's as if you would "swim" in Valve/HL1/HL2 games. I don' know how describe it in another way, sorry.

If you like it more with vsync on, and play better with it, or you like it more, and you can get 100fps, then go for it. I like vsync off better, cuz i got used to it, and i don't notice the tearing.
