I can't tell you in %, bust most people uncheck it, yes.
Thanks mate :) Pros uncheck it as well right?
Yeah, most do so afaik. I believe there are people and/or pros playing with EPP, but they're only a few, I think. At least you don't hear/read from a lot of them using EPP.
Thanks buddy :) Thats what I've heard anyway, but thought I would ask here:) Thanks.
It gives mouse acceleration, which is something you don't want when you gotta be accurate.
I don't know a single pro that uses Enhance Pointer Precision, lol.
Just uncheck it, it adds weird mouse acceleration.
when I turned it off and went back in game My in-game sensitivity dropped.. and I mean DROPPED. I usually use 3.5 in-game sensitivity (6/11 windows sens, 400 DPI), but when I unchecked that EPP box, I had to go for 5.7 in-game sensitivity to work, and it still doesnt work as before.
BTW, What DPI or how much sensitivity is EPP equal to? because as I said when I unchecked it my sensitivity dropped(not only in-game) but in general.
Most accurate way would be, if you set your sensitivity like this for example:
3 in-game, win 6/11, 400 cpi = 1 in-game, win 6/11, 1200 cpi
I know (I cannot name source!) games scale sensitivity over 1 (or default, depending on game) a bit unstable, but don't know to which degree. I just know 1 would be something you could call "perfect". I use 2.4 in-game, win 6/11, 400 cpi @G500, even though I have that knowledge though because I'm used to that.
Well sure as hell im not changing DPI, because Im playing whole my life with 400DPI and 6/11 win sens. The question is what in-game sens should I set to get the equivalent of previous sensitivity when I was using EPP checked.. Not sure why EPP has anything to do with sensitivity to be honest since its just an acceleration. However, since I unchecked that box, the sensitivity dropped. So im in searching for my exact previous sensitivity that I was using, but cant seem to find it anyway. No way to calculate it either.
6/11 WIN sens <> 400DPI <> EPP on = 3.5 in-game sens
6/11 WIN sens <> 400DPI <> EPP off = ?.? in-game sens (now i'm using 5.8, but it doesnt feel right. it doesnt feel like before)
The bugged edit system strikes again, anyway here's the fixed reply.
Seems like you don't really understand what does mouse acceleration mean.Mouse acceleration increases the speed of your movements based on the speed you move your mouse which sounds good but actually it isn't. It makes your moves unpredictable and inconsistent. And also how hard is it to find a sensitivity that feels like your previous one but without EPP? :/
Just spend day or two and you'll find the right sensitivity for you but don't go as high as 5.8 lol

are you kidding me :D with 3.5 in-game sens I BARELY turn around. its SLOW. I cant play like that. I used to play with 3.5 but with that EPP on. now since its off, 3.5 doesnt work AT ALL for me. thats why im playing with 5.8 now..and btw is it a problem to play with 5.8? I mean, is it "buggy" sens?
anyway, thanks for your time.
Imo it's too high to be accurate. Anyway what's your mouse and mousepad? It's really odd that 3.5 is too low for you.
I mean, 3.5 is high sensitivity, bro o.O
haha :D Im used to that.
well, currently using shitty 400DPI/125hz mouse , but soon I will have G400v2.(which is btw the best mouse out there along with DA)
Mousepad is QcK.
you say 3.5 is high? what settings (win/mouse/in-game) are you using? :) 3.5 is pretty slow for me :D cant do the quick turns.
Oh, don't worry. I'm on OCN, too. ;) I know Skylit's/Bullveyr's/etc.'s advices/testing. Even though G400(v2) got a very good fw, there's still no best (in this case) mouse. Everyone's got different ergonomical needs. Let's start with that. ;) Mice like G500 or Xai (etc. etc.) work very good on 400 cpi even on cloth pads. If cloth's your favourite surface, Artisan Hayate would give you the best performance possible (laser mice). If it's plastic, take something like SteelSeries 9/4/3HD or Razer Destructor/Scarab (laser mice). Optical mice aren't that picky, if it comes down to the kind of surface you prefer. They work more or less on any mouse pad pretty good (if the sensor works from the start, so to say). Well, in general at least.

Haha, who isnt, right? :D
Well, bearing in mind that G400v2 and DA's sensors are the only flawless sensors at this point out there (So i've been hearing anyway from experienced people), it wouldnt be so hard to get used to their shapes. I personally like G400's shape better, so thats why I said its the best (for me). Maybe the only flaw they have is the high LOD, but on G400 is lower than other highly hyped mice.
and clothpad ftw :) never used plastic, i hate them. I mean I used plastic when been at my friends and they are highly uncomfortable. Cloth is best (for me) :) and what I need to say about laser mice.. well, laser mice. nuff said.
Xai & G500 work good on low cpi as far as I can tell. Btw, I have the same concerns with plastic pads. Even though my 9HD is great in perfomance, I dislike the fact that it's plastic. I only have G400v1 (prediction ON) which I'm gonna sell in in the next days. Maybe I'll buy a G400v2 at some point. It's just I don't like thin cords on mice, don't know why.
well.. never had issues with cords, HOPEFULLY wont have with my future G400v2.. If I do anyway, I will return it. Logitech have great return policy. Not a problem :)
Didn't say I have had issues with it. I just don't like it. I had 5 Logitech mice at least. I know the company and their capability. ^^
