The Fnatic Team is a professional video gaming team, consisting of players from across the globe who all make a living through competing in video game tournaments. The Fnatic Team won the ESPORTS TEAM OF THE YEAR AWARD 2006 and 2009. We remain in the esports history books for the unprecedented 6 major titles conquered throughout 2009, with only our Counter-Strike division.
The Fnatic team is an ambitious and already highly successful gaming organization; with registered offices in Australia, the UK and the Netherlands they have a global reach. The Fnatic team is currently supporting four highly successful squads in World of Warcraft, Call of Duty 4, Quake Live, and Counter-Strike, to name a few and has established itself as a vibrant, well coordinated outfit with a clear vision for the future of competitive gaming. The Fnatic team was founded by Sam Mathews with the help of Joris Van Laerhoven and Anne Mathews.

Lindberg is regarded internationally as one of, if the the best Counter-Strike player in the world because of his unique and overly aggressive playing style. He was one of the key players in the 2008/9 season, often leading the team to victory in major events across the world, with "clutch rounds". Originally recruited on the 5th of January 2006 had a long successful career before leaving the team in late 2010. Sander 'Vo0' Kaasjager, arguably the best Painkiller player and CPMA great, retired from competitive play on his 21st birthday. Kaasjager will be remembered for his dominant performance on the CPL World Tour, where he won five of the nine tour stops and collected an impressive $232,000. Aside from a grand final loss to Jonathan 'Fatal1ty' Wendell, Vo0 was the unquestioned best player on the tour. Kaasjager even captured the tournament MVP and a $20,000 bonus from Intel.

While Ztrider was good at several games, there are no doubt about that PainKiller was the perfect game for him. Much like his fellow Fnatic Hall of Famer, Sander 'Vo0' Kaasjager, Ztrider had the perfect playstyle for the fastpaced game. Ztrider didn't ride the waves of the victory into the World Championships however, as he finished on 6th place following defeats against Stermy and zyz. However with his overall career winnings totalling over $78,000, no one can ever say that Ztrider wasn't one of the best duellers of the PK era.

There are few people in the world that has had a bigger impact on the Fnatic brand than Laurens 'Lauke' Pluijmaekers. Widely regarded as one of the two best players to ever play in the Unreal Tournament-series (with Christian 'GitzZz' Höck being the other), Lauke made a name for himself in the beginning of the new Millenium. After dominating the Dutch Unreal Tournament scene, he made it to the first World Cyber Games event in Daejon, South Korea, in 2001.

As with the other members on our iconic PainKiller team, Andre 'gellehsak' Ryder had his best time in Fnatic during the CPL World Tour in 2005. Just like his former team mate Sander 'Vo0' Kaasjager, Ryder came from a QuakeWorld and Quake 3 CPMA background, making the fastpaced PainKiller a perfect fit for the Canadian.
