Crossfire Challenge 7 was a tournament full of surprises, comebacks and one of the best grand final we've seen in a while. FnaticMSI.CoD4 managed to continue with great results following the beginning of this year, after dominating the previous year.

It all started with the seeding portion of the tournament, where we finished second in the group, losing to iNFiNiTY*SKiLLS and faced YoYoTech to see who would earn the top seed while the loser was highly seeded.

Falling to the French, with a result of, 2:0, placed FnaticMSI in a group with Reason Gaming. It also displayed a disappointing performance by our players and everyone thought it was the end of an era for FnaticMSI's domination.

The group stage did not bring too many surprises, except maybe for Dignitas not finishing on top of their group, falling to corgz, the newcomers who allowed Dignitas' wish to avoid FnaticMSI in the first round of playoffs come true.

Since corgz were on top of the group, leaving Dignitas to barely squeeze out of the group, Dignitas were matched against their fellow countrymen in the form of Reason Gaming and lost the match. FnaticMSI had a rough time against corgz but eventually managed to come out victorious in the end with the score of 2:1.

Two more very close matches for our team followed, one against Hostile Faction in the quarter finals and the other versus iNFiNiTY*SKiLLS in the semi finals where FnaticMSI.COD4 took their revenge for the loss in seeding stage of the tournament.

From the other part of the bracket came Reason Gaming, a team from our group and the only team that had defeated us in the tournament. After three maps, a lot of clutch situations, excellent solo performances by every single player from both teams, especially Stevy, who could be crowned MVP of the tournament, FnaticMSI came out on top. We will definitely be seeing excellent frag movies in the near future, highlighting the play in the grand final.
