We are very proud to announce Andreas 'Moddii' Fridh as replacement for Faruk 'Pita' Pita.

After the departure of Faruk 'Pita' Pita yesterday, we are very proud to announce Andreas 'Moddii' Fridh as the replacement.

The 22-years old is supposed to bring fresh blood to the FnaticRaidCall Counter-Strike 1.6 team and has proven his outstanding skill over the past few years. Most recently Moddii has been with ESC Gaming after the team disbanded last year in early December. Since then Fridh was on the look out for a new team is now as proud as FnaticRaidCall to wear the Black and Orange in future tournaments.

Eventhough Moddii wasn't that successful with his team in 2011, he was ranked on a 16th place in HLTV.org's top 20 players of 2011 which proved what he can be capable of if he plays in a team that can win tournaments.

On the next page you will find an interview we conducted with Moddii where he talks about his time in ESC Gaming, his expactations with FnaticRaidCall in 2012 and about the upcoming Intel Extreme Masters tournament. Or simply click HERE.

Also team-captain Patrik 'cArn' Sättermon had to say something about the addition of Moddii

Today I'm excited to welcome Andreas "Moddii" Fridh to the Fnatic family as the fifth players of the Counter-Strike 1.6 team. Moddii has during the last years been considered as the most promising rifle player in Sweden, if not the world, and I´m curious to see how much impact he can do representing the black and oranges. I think the timing of this recruit is just right and I'm positive that Andreas will come in to the group with professionalism and motivation, something we really value here in the Fnatic camp.  You can expect to see the new squad perform in the upcoming IEM finals at Cebit, and before that we will get together for a bootcamp to make sure everything clash going into the finals we are aiming to win.

What was your initial reaction when you were approached by Fnatic?

Hi, My first reaction was that I was very surprised and happy at the same time. As everyone knows, Fnatic one of the best teams out there. So to play for Fnatic is very big for me.

Your past team has been sort of off the radar after ESC decided to go for FX, what have you been up to?

After we were replacing the Poles, I have not done anything special in cs roads but have been visiting family / relatives in Sweden and only had a little vacation.

You've reached as far as the final in EPS Germany. How did taking part in the German league affect your play style?

As you mention above, we have played the German EPS with ESC Gaming They were a varied experience. The Act which plays EPS Germany is very good individually but loses a little of tactics as playing style have not changed that much except that they are well focused on random things.

Some people were saying that you should have been chosen for fnatic back in December 2010, what has changed over the year in your own opinion?

That people wanted me to fnatic in 2010, I have both read and heard, but as you all know it was not so, but they brought in three other talented players. I feel more ready now one year later on to be honest. I have changed as both person and player to become more mature than I was in the beginning of my CS time, so I think that's the big step late, I have also become a better cs player and get a little more "Lan experience."

Well, not that you're part of fnatic, what are your expectations for 2012?

My expectations for 2012 is to get at least top 3 in the events we will go and try and get my team mates to be better than what they already are.

Your first major tournament will be IEM World Championship, basically one of the most prestigious events of the year. How does this affect your motivation?

This is one of the events I have never been on in my CS career, so my motivation is higher than ever. So this event affects me only positive.

What you believe you can you bring for the team, to make it Top 1 again?

What I think I will bring to the team is mostly my AIM and my big "winner-head." Then i can always hope that I can bring some happy energy and make my teammates better.

You don't seem to be using AWP at all, any plans to change that?

AWP piece's not the strong side of me so it's not plan to change to AWP, maybe sometime in the future you never know. (laughs)

Is there any particular team you're looking forward to play the most with fnatic?

No, I do not think so. Just want to play against all teams and show that we will be there, among them best teams out there.

Anything to say to your fans, etc?

I just want to say thanks for all of you that believes and cheer for me, And of course the Fnatic team that gives me this big opportunity to play with one of the biggest teams out there.
