SteelSeries, the leading manufacturer of gaming peripherals and our respected sponsor, will be investing in a Call of Duty 4 tournament that will be held in Copenhagen at the end of April.

This is certainly great news and encouraging for the Call of Duty 4 community right after a very successful Crossfire Challenge 7, which was conquered by FnaticMSI as you already know. SteelSeries, in cooperation with Vita Nova, are proud to present the SteelSeries eSports Challenge (SEC), and announce most of the details pertaining to it.

The event will take place in the Cop3nhag3nRobot building, in Copenhagen, between 30th April and 2nd May. A live stream will be available and will broadcast most of the games as reported on the official site of SteelSeries eSport Challenge.

The entrance fee for the tournament is 350€ and if less than 32 teams apply, the organizers reserve the right to lower the prize pool, but after a huge interest in CC7 and very successful event, it's almost impossible to have less than 32 teams apply.

Prize distribution looks like following:

  • 1st. €5,000
  • 2nd. €2,500
  • 3rd. €1,250
  • 4th. €500
  • 5th-8th. €250

More information about the event, accomodation, and detailed directions can be found on the official site. Stay tuned for more updates.
