The zeroPoint Gaming COD team have announced their departure from their old-school gaming organisation in search of pastures new.
Once upon a time this Hungarian side were labelled as serial onliners by the majority of the Call of Duty community. However after months of hard work and an exceptional top 4 placement at the Crossfire Intel Challenge 7 in March, the team finally prevailed and broke through into the upper echelon of the scene.
Since late March the team have represented the once legendary eSports organisation of zeroPoint Gaming, however this partnership has now come to an end, just days prior to the team attended the national Hungarian event, BECUP 2010; where they walked away champions over main rivals Team Gigabyte and Digestive Gaming.
From now on, until the team find a new organisation to call home, the fully Hungarian side will compete under the name of 'Hello Kitty'.
The details for this sudden departure are unknown, with team manager Jamie Biro simply saying, in a statement to TEK9, "Well, I don't want to talk that much about the part that we are no longer zeroPoint." The full statement reads as followed:
"Well, I don't want to talk that much about the part that we are no longer zeroPoint. We had a great time in zeroPoint, but things didn't work out that well, in the end. After AEF we didn't really practise at all, we played just a few wars right before BECUP 2010, but we are happy that we could take home the gold and prove that we are still nr1 in Hungary. At the moment we are searching for an organisation that could support us in the future, please feel free to contact me on xfire: pjjj or by mail: peter[at]justin-bieber.hu."
Hello Kitty is now as followed:
Attila 'boco' Árvai
Tamás 'kZstaR' Ádámszky
Gábor 'sT1ng3R' Szakál
Dávid 'Stormy' Fézler
Csongor 'FUTUREEE' Beder
