In a shock move, Chinese team wNv Gaming have forfeited their match to American side Evil Geniuses.
The Chinese side were well under-way in their first match of Group A in the MSI BEAT IT event in Beijing; however, when the score reached 10-8 in favour of their opponent Evil Geniuses, the wNv roster seemingly crashed off of the match server.
Shortly after, wNv Gaming members demanded that the game would be restarted, however MSI BEAT IT tournament admins for Counter-Strike 1.6 refused the request, and instead insisted that the Chinese continue from the current outstanding score.
After much deliberation between both parties and the admin team, no decision could be made on the future of the game. wNv refused offers of a restart with $3,000 to buy and instead demanded $5,000 - to which EG reluctantly finally agreed upon, with admins following suit.

Despite coming to an agreement on the start money, wNv Gaming threw in the towel by approaching the American's and ironically shaking hands and forfeiting the match. Ultimately this spelt disaster for the first game of the Chinese side, with the match eventually being awarded to Evil Geniuses; who receive all 16 rounds.
