As we all know, Koreans and gaming blend very well, now that League of Legends has rocketed through, they are already getting it on their televisions for everyone to enjoy.
Riot Games have been pushing LoL around the globe and have had huge success, but perhaps this wasn't enough for them. They have now partnered with the TV network OnGameNet, who have published to the gaming world that they will be showcasing League of Legends on their network. This is a huge step for both Riot games and OGN as League of Legends has taken the world by storm recently, with it now reaching people's TV's, who knows what's next from Riot Games?
The current plan of production is to hold a weekly tournament starting on 20th January and will run for at least five weeks. Six teams will participate in the tournament, including the likes of WorldElite, StarTale and CLG.net. Exciting news for all LoL fans, but whether the content will reach Europe to be viewed is neither confirmed or denied, so stay tuned as we will keep you up-to-date regarding this.
Participating teams:
Startale
EDG
MiG
Team OP
World Elite
Counter Logic Gaming
