ESA 2017: Fnatic Shortlisted!

It’s an incredibly proud day for FNATIC as we’re now the first ever esports organisation to be shortlisted by the European Sponsorship Association, earning recognition in the ‘Rights Holder Of The Year’ category at the 2017 ESA Excellence Awards!

The European Sponsorship Association honours entrants from across multiple industries, sport, music, culture and community included, acknowledging and inspiring growth of sponsorship and partnership opportunities, putting us in the company of Arsenal, Manchester City and many other previously shortlisted brands.

For those of you who aren’t familiar, the ‘Rights Holder of the Year’ award recognises organisations that are demonstrating development within their industry through partnerships with other leading brands.

Our partnerships with Deezer and OnePlus have been game changing for the industry. These roads into the music and mobile technology industries, as well as our longer term ties with leading brands such as Monster Energy have helped to develop an incredible reach to new and broader audiences, in turn attracting further opportunity to network and forge further relationships for esports.

To be recognised by ESA is a great honour. Not only because we’re the first in esports, we can now also measure ourselves against the likes of Extreme Tech Challenge (ETC) and Holi Festival of Colours. It’ll be a real coup for FNATIC and for the esports industry as a whole if we collect the award in February. We know we’re getting our strategy right and to be recognised for doing so is a great end to 2017.” - Wouter Sleijffers, Fnatic, CEO

The winners will be revealed at a prestigious award ceremony that takes place at London’s world famous Science Museum on Wednesday 7th February 2018.
