Gfinity’s Elite Series is back for Season 3 and FNATIC are joining the party!

An esports tournament specialist, Gfinity has hosted high octane competition across multiple gaming platforms for years. With its Elite Series returning 2nd March 2018, the hugely popular tournament is expanding to ten teams, welcoming us as the first new participants.

“Having established the Elite Series as one of the leading esports tournaments in the world, we couldn’t be more excited by expanding and bringing in a team of FNATIC’s calibre.”

“With their inclusion, an already competitive roster and more announcements to come, this will be our most action-packed season to date.” - Neville Upton, CEO of Gfinity

This is tremendously exciting news! After the recent addition of EA SPORTS FIFA 18 extends the Elite Series lineup to three games, we’re thrilled for the new opportunities offered to the Roma Esports roster and of course our Rocket League squad who’ll be making their debuts in Season 3.

The inclusion of Street Fighter V in the Elite Series also means that FNATIC will finally be making a return to the fighting game scene!

“We have followed the Elite Series closely for some time and have been thoroughly impressed, in terms of the tournament but also in both the professionalism and vision of Gfinity's team.

“The new opportunities for our existing FIFA and Rocket League rosters are very exciting and a return to the fighting game scene with Street Fighter V is something we very much look forward to.” - Patrik Sättermon, FNATIC CGO and Co-Owner.

Before the opening matches, amateur gamers from around world will be invited to sign up for free to compete in the Challenger Series. They’ll then fight it out over six weeks with the hope of earning a place in the Elite Draft.

Each Elite Series team will draft two players into their active roster before setting off on a six-week regular season. They’ll battle for a spot in play-offs which will then be played out over two weeks, live from the Gfinity Esports Arena in London.
