Head of Content & Social

As Head of Content & Social at Fnatic, you’ll be charged with weaving Fnatic's performance narrative through Fnatic's social content output in a way that resonates with existing - and grows new - audiences globally. You'll shape a team amplifying our brand, products, commercial partners and players through authentic and captivating content. With an intrinsic knowledge of what resonates within gaming and esports, you'll leverage your knowledge of the nuances of each platform to build specific strategies to engage new Fnatic fans. You’ll be a data ninja, able to measure the impact of our content output and ensure we continually improve at what we do. We've consistently proven our ability to drive esports performance for many years - and it'll be your job to ensure our brand promise to help our audience game better engages new fans every day.

Your mission is to:

  • Devise and own a social content strategy that enhances Fnatic's position at the pinnacle of esports performance, and creates active conversations with our audience to rapidly recognise and embrace trends
  • Grow Fnatic’s social channels through engaging content creation and execution that best utilises the specific features of each platform
  • Inspire out-of-the-box concepts in ideation, bringing audience insights to concept development and push the team to think big
  • Mentor and manage a team of channel/platform owners, setting goals that drive growth in core social metrics as well as levelling them up individually
  • Collaborate closely with our Marketing teams to create campaigns across our various activities, masterminding the storytelling experience of our lifestyle
  • Support Studios in long-form ideation so that produced deliverables feed into overarching story arcs/content strategy happening on social
  • Bring obligated commercial deliverables to life in a uniquely Fnatic way that feels organic
  • Ensure opportunities to piggyback off third-party activations led by game publishers, our brand partners, and creators
  • Monitor channel performance data and continually optimise
  • Maintain deep platform knowledge, being across optimisations and trends
  • Work with Growth colleagues to fuel audience expansion, as well as explore new opportunities for content distribution and ways to monetise them
  • Resource the team accordingly to meet social needs across multiple global markets, cultivating a pool of talented freelancers where necessary
  • Develop clear social guidelines for use on a range of channels
  • Ensure effective calendar management for our brand as well as faultless execution of committed deliverables
  • Support Content talent acquisition efforts, leading on candidate assessment and providing appropriate feedback

We're looking for:

  • Demonstrated ability to grow a global brand through category leading social content
  • A deep knowledge of social platforms and how they can be best utilised to speak to youth audiences
  • Passion for gaming and understanding of relevant communities
  • An intrinsic understanding of youth audiences
  • Hands-on experience in content creation, execution and planning
  • A commercial mindset and ability to balance Fnatic priorities with the goals of our partners
  • Good interpersonal skills, coaching and counselling skills
  • A sense of urgency coupled with excellent organisation and time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English, other languages desirable
