CHANGES IN THE FNATIC R6 ROSTER AHEAD OF EUL SPLIT 2

Published: 29 Aug 2024

As we look ahead to our first game of EUL Split 2 on Monday, we have a few updates to share around our Rainbow Six roster. We’re excited to announce two new additions to our roster Leonardo ‘Sarks’ Sarchi as our new Flex and Juhani "Kantoraketti" Toivonen as our new Entry Fragger.

Our roster as we enter R6 EUL Split 2 will consist of:

  • Leon "LeonGids" Giddens - IGL / Support
  • Jesse "Jeggz" Ojanen - Entry Fragger
  • Tom "Deapek" Pieksma - Support
  • Leonardo ‘Sarks’ Sarchi - Flex
  • Juhani "Kantoraketti" Toivonen - Entry Fragger
  • Jack “Jigsaw” Gillies - Substitute

‘Sarks’, a new addition to tier 1 Rainbow Six, is a promising young player with the hunger to make his mark in the EUL. We’re really excited by his potential, someone who has performed exceptionally well on both the Faceit ladder and in official Tier 2 competition. We felt that it was the right time to give an opportunity to an inexperienced player and to help them grow whilst injecting some fresh energy into the team. His ability to play versatile roles for us in the flex role means he can adapt to the map and team needs. He is a talented player, and we are looking forward to helping guide his first experience in Tier 1 competition.

A well-known name in the R6 community and one with a wealth of experience, ‘Kantoraketti’ will join us as our new Entry Fragger. After LeonGids and Deapek previously won a Major with Kanto in 2022, we felt his experience would balance out the inexperience of signing Sarks, and help to bring consistency to the team. Alongside his winning mentality and incredible track record of tournament wins, we’re excited to sign Kanto till the end of the 2024 season.

Saethus, FNC R6 Coach shares, “Both players are fun to be around, positive thinking, and are super excited for this opportunity - so we are hoping to continue to improve throughout the stage due to this and be ready to compete for the Montreal Major once we get there.”

With these two new additions we will be moving Jigsaw into the substitute role and we will bid farewell to Tyrant. We’ll be working closely with Jigsaw over the next few weeks to support him in finding a new team but he will sit as our substitute for the meantime. We want to thank Tyrant for his efforts throughout EUL Split 1 and wish him the very best on their future ventures - we look forward to seeing him on the server again soon.

We want to thank all our R6 fans for their support and we hope you’ll be there supporting us as we take on G2 on Monday 2nd September at 20:20 CEST. Make sure to tune in and get all the latest updates on the Fnatic app!
