Fnatic returns to EA FC
Since we announced last September that we were stepping back from the competitive FIFA scene, we have spent time evaluating our opportunities within the title for the future. Today we’re excited to announce that the wait is over, and we’re officially returning to the EA FC!
We’ve got a new face joining us for our next venture into the title too, we’re thrilled to announce Jonas ‘Jonny’ Wirth will represent the Black and Orange from here on, and we can’t wait to see him bring our return to EA FC to the field. Hailing from Germany, Jonny has been making huge moves within the title all year, impressing the whole scene with his first place finish and trophy lift at the eChampions League in London last month; the cherry on the top of what has been a stunning and unforgettable season.
We’ve always performed at the top level of EA FC and FIFA, and we think Jonny is a perfect fit for us going forward. We’re excited to have a young, passionate, and extremely talented player representing us. Jonny will head to the Dreamhack Summer this weekend in Jönköping, Sweden alongside multiple other world-class players, representing the world’s best in EA FC to fight for qualification for this summer’s Esports World Cup. On playing there and representing Fnatic, Jonny said the following:
“I'm very happy and proud to represent Fnatic at the EWC tournaments. The last few months have been very successful for me with the two German championships and winning the eChampions League. I will give my best to achieve similar success under the Fnatic banner”
We want to thank Jonny’s previous team SC Paderborn 07 for their help and professionalism with this transfer. We hope you’ll join us in supporting Jonny in his first outing for the Black and Orange this weekend. Till then, you can follow him on Instagram at scp07_jonny and on Twitter at x.com/SCP07_Jonny!
