TFT

Overview

  • The Fnatic EWC UK Community Knockout: TFT, is an open tournament (the “Tournament”).
  • There will be up to 64 players in the Tournament, with each participant playing individually.
  • Participants may stream the Tournament with the permission of the Tournament administrators. Such permission should be sought by contacting Fnatic Ltd (“Fnatic”) on the Tournament Discord or emailing community@fnatic.com.
  • The Tournament is a three (3) day, Valorant tournament spanning across 1 week. The tournament will consist of a 64-team bracket and will be played on PC.
  • The Tournament prizes are as follows:
    • 1st place will receive:
      • 1x 100$ Fnatic Shop Gift Card
      • 1x Fnatic Bolt Mouse
      • 1x Fnatic Streak65 Keyboard
      • 1x Fnatic Stress heart
  • Please note: the prizes are as stated only, Fnatic will not pay out the cash value of the prizes as an alternative.
  • To qualify for the Tournament, Participants must;
    • have a valid main Riot Account;
    • play on their main Riot account
    • be at least 16 years old as of 09 August 2025
    • be a resident of the United Kingdom as of 09 August 2025 (such that they will play the Tournament from a location in the UK)
    • not be a pro player participating in the Tactician's Trials
    • be able to attend the in-person offline Grand Finals in London on 16 August 2025.
  • Participants will be invited to join a Discord for centralised communication prior to and during the Tournament.
  • Employees of Esports World Cup, Fnatic, Riot, and all associated companies are not allowed to participate in this Tournament.

Rules

1. General Rules

1.1. Tournament

The Fnatic EWC UK Community Knockout: TFT is an open Tournament for Teamfight Tactics, hosted by Fnatic and played on PC. The Tournament is limited to players who are residents or citizens of the UK and can attend the Grand Finals in London on 16 August 2025.

1.2. Administration

Everybody who is authorised by Fnatic to administer the Fnatic EWC UK Community Knockout: TFT based on its rules and regulations will be called an "Admin". In the following, the collection of all Admins will be called the "Administration".

1.3. Participants and Commitment

1.3.1. Every Participant must:

  • have a valid main Riot Account;
  • play on their main Riot account
  • be at least 16 years old as of 09 August 2025
  • be a resident of the United Kingdom as of 09 August 2025 (such that they will play the Tournament from a location in the UK)
  • not be a pro player participating in the Tactician's Trials' last set
  • be able to attend the in-person offline Grand Finals in London on 16 August 2025.

1.3.2. By participating in the Fnatic EWC UK Community Knockout: TFT, Participants acknowledge they will, without limitation, comply with the Tournament Rules and with the statements and decisions made by the Administration.

1.3.3. Every Participant acknowledges the right for the Administration to modify the rules and regulations for adjustments at any time without notice and if necessary overrule those to ensure fair play and integrity throughout the Tournament.

1.3.4. Every Participant must be respectful towards Admins and other Participants. Insults and unfair or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated and will be punished in accordance with these rules.

1.3.5. Every participant has to join the Discord server to communicate with Admins for the Tournament. The link to the Discord server will be provided to participants before the start of the Tournament.

1.3.6. Every Participant has to try to win every round of the Tournament. Purposefully losing for any reason is strictly forbidden.

1.3.7. Vulgar, racist, sexist or otherwise offensive player names are forbidden. This will be at the sole discretion of the Tournament Admins.

1.3.8. Every Participant acknowledges the right for the Administration to edit players’ names if names are deemed unfit for display.

1.3.9. Every Participant in the Fnatic EWC UK Community Knockout: TFT consents to the collection of footage, photo and audio material displaying or voicing them during the Tournament to be stored and used for announcements, website content and other publications by Fnatic unrestricted and unlimited in terms of time and place.

1.4. Communication

1.4.1. All communication between Participants and the Administration has to be held in English at any time and at any stage of the Tournament.

1.4.2. The Administration may only be contacted via the following e-mail address: community@fnatic.com or the Tournament Discord. This helps Admins to coordinate as a team and work faster on issues. It will be the sole responsibility of Fnatic to manage communications on behalf of the Administration between Participants and the Administration. Any other form of communication shall be ignored.

2. Format & Schedule

2.1. Tournament Format

The Tournament is a three (3) day, Teamfight Tactics tournament, and will be played on PC (the “Tournament”).

2.2. Score metrics

1st = 8pts

2nd = 7pts

3rd = 6pts

4th = 5pts

5th = 4pts

6th = 3pts

7th = 2pts

8th = 1pt

2.2.1. Day 1 (Saturday) will consist of 64 players playing 6 games, reseeded between every 2 games (Swiss). After 6 games, the bottom 32 players will be eliminated. The remaining 32 players will progress to Day 2.

2.2.2. Day 2 (Sunday) will consist of 32 players playing 6 games, reseeded between every 2 games (Snake). After 6 games, the bottom 24 players will be eliminated. The remaining 8 players will progress to Day 3, the Grand Finals.

2.2.3. Day 3 (Saturday) will consist of 1 lobby with 8 players playing 6 games. After 6 games, the top player with the most points wins the tournament.

2.2.4. Points between days reset.

2.3. Registration

All Participants have to sign up on Challengermode and link their Riot account. Participants have a check-in period of 60 minutes before the tournament starts. The first 64 teams to ready up in time will qualify for a spot in the tournament on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no entry fee.

2.4. Seeding

2.4.1. The seeding will automatically be done by an Administrator at the start time and during the tournament (that means uneven matches can happen in the first 2 lobbies).

2.4.2. Day 1 (Saturday): Reseeding based on points between every 2 games (Swiss). The Top 32 will progress to Day 2.

2.4.3. Day 2 (Sunday): Reseeding by snake seeding between every 2 games. Initial seeding into lobbies will be random. The Top 8 will progress to Day 3.

  • Lobby A: 1, 8, 9, 16, 17, 24, 25, 32
  • Lobby B: 2, 7, 10, 15, 18, 23, 26, 31
  • Lobby C: 3, 6, 11, 14, 19, 22, 27, 30
  • Lobby D: 4, 5, 12, 13, 20, 21, 28, 29

2.4.4. Day 3 (Saturday) will consist of 1 lobby with 8 players playing 6 games. After 6 games, the top player with the most points wins the tournament.

2.5. Schedule

The Fnatic EWC UK Community Knockout: TFT tournament will start on 09 August 2025 at 13:00 BST and finish on 16 August 2025 (the “Tournament Window”).

2.6. Tournament Restrictions

Participants must commit to playing the entire Tournament.

2.7. General Tiebreakers

2.7.1. Any players that are tied on points for the final tournament position - will be differentiated in the following manner:

  • 1. Highest number of wins and Top 4s on the day (wins are counted twice).
  • 2. Highest number of placements for each position achievable in a lobby (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.) on the day.
  • 3. Finishing position in the most recent game on the day followed by position in each previous game (i.e. Game 5, 4, 3, etc.)

2.7.2. Reseeding: For reseeding between lobbies, if players are unable to be differentiated by the above methods, they will be sorted randomly between the positions they are tied for.

3. Match Times

3.1. Match Times

Each game will be played at a time within the Tournament Window to be determined by the Administration at their sole discretion. Day 1 games will be played on 09 August 2025, starting at 13:00 BST.
Day 2 games will be played on 10 August 2025 starting at 13:00 BST.
And the Grand Finals will be played in person at the offline event in London on 16 August 2025.

3.2. Rescheduling / Postponing

Matches cannot be postponed or rescheduled to another date or time unless determined by the Administration at its sole discretion for any reason.

3.3. Punctuality

Matches start at the time stated on Challengermode. Each participant will have to confirm their presence in the room before the confirmation timer runs out. Matches cannot be started earlier.

Matches can't be delayed for any reason unless the previous match ran for longer than planned.

If one Participant is not ready to start at the official match time, the Admins in their sole discretion may disqualify the Team from the match or the Tournament. Admins may extend the punctuality deadline in exceptional circumstances to get the match played at its sole discretion.

4. Before the match

4.1. Check-In

All Participants have to join the Tournament Discord server and check in with Tournament staff. All Participants must be available at the time the Tournament rounds start on Challengermode and ready up for each match.

5. During the match

5.1. Streams

5.1.1. Each Participant may live stream the entirety of their Tournament games with the permission of the Administrators. Permission should be sought through the Discord channel or by emailing community@fnatic.com.

5.1.2. Each Participant that has permission to stream their Tournament must add to their stream (and maintain at all relevant times throughout the Tournament):

  • Tournament branding (in the form distributed by the Administration).
  • A delay of 3 minutes to their stream

5.2. Match Start & Restarts

5.2.1. From the time a match begins, Participants are prohibited from intentionally disconnecting from the game. If a Participant or Team disconnects intentionally after the game has started, the game will continue with the remaining players and will not be restarted.

5.2.2. A Participant may request a match restart if the fairness of the game is seriously compromised by an issue outside of the players control. Matters that may lead to the match being restarted include but are not limited to:

  • enemy players using 3rd party tools or software in breach of Riot's Terms of Service; or
  • if the game crashes for all players.

5.2.3. All restart requests need to be flagged to the Admin team before a restart can be actioned. Evidence to support the request must be shared and the decision on the restart will be at the sole discretion of the Admin.

5.3. Breach of Terms of Use

If Participants are found guilty of Bug Abuse or in breach of Riot's Terms of Service, they may face consequences including automatic disqualification. All punishment will be at the sole discretion of the Administration.

5.4. Replays

Every Participant must save their own replays of all Tournament games for at least seven (7) days. Upon request by an admin, each Participant must submit the replay to the administration within 24 hours. Failing to comply with this request may result in punishment.

6. After the match

6.1. Reporting the score

The players who come first and second in each lobby MUST screenshot the result of their lobby and submit it to admins on the tournament Discord. Players who fail to submit screenshots may be subject to disciplinary action. Each Participant must submit a screenshot of each game’s score within 5 minutes when the game finishes. This evidence must be a screenshot of the endgame leaderboard. Tournament staff will be monitoring the games and keeping track of the points.

6.2. Protests

Protest against any other sort of rule violation by another player can only be reported with video evidence. The protest must include a specific timestamp when the violation took place, the name of the player who committed the violation, as well as a clear description of what happened. Protests that either lack evidence or details such as timestamp and description will be discarded. All protests must be sent to an Admin via the Tournament Discord server or through the Tournament email address: community@fnatic.com.

7. Rule Violation and Punishment

7.1. Possible Punishments

The punishments for any rule violations include but are not limited to:

  • Loss of one match
  • Disqualification from the Tournament
  • Disqualification from future tournaments

Punishments shall be at the Administration’s sole discretion.

8. Prize

8.1. Prize

In the Tournament:

8.2.

The prizes are as stated only, Fnatic will not pay out the cash value of the prizes as an alternative.

8.3.

Fnatic’s standard shipping policies and restrictions apply to the shipping of Prizes. It is the sole responsibility of the Participants to check Fnatic is able to ship prizes to their location before entering the Tournament.

8.4.

Winners located in countries Fnatic is not able to ship to should reach out to the Community Team to try and work out an alternative. Fnatic isn’t liable to you for the prize if an alternative shipping arrangement can’t be identified.

VALORANT

Overview

  • The Fnatic EWC UK Community Knockout: Valorant, is an open tournament (the “Tournament”).
  • There will be up to 16 teams in the Tournament. Teams will consist of five players (individually a “Participant” and together a “Team”), one of whom will be designated captain and will be the main point of contact with the Tournament organisers.
  • Participants may stream the Tournament with the permission of the Tournament administrators. Such permission should be sought by contacting Fnatic Ltd (“Fnatic”) on the Tournament Discord or emailing community@fnatic.com.
  • The Tournament is a three (3) day, Valorant tournament spanning across 1 week. The tournament will consist of a 16-team bracket and will be played on PC.

    • not have played or currently play in the Valorant Challengers League 2025 Stage 1, 2, or 3 (excluding the VCL qualifiers)
    • only have a maximum of 1 player in the team who has played in the VCL qualifiers in 2025
    • be able to attend the in-person offline Grand Finals in London on 16 August 2025.
  • Team captains will be invited to join a Discord for centralised communication prior to and during the Tournament. It is the Team captain's responsibility to invite their team to the tournament Discord.
  • Employees of Esports World Cup, Fnatic, Riot, and all associated companies are not allowed to participate in this Tournament.

Semifinal matches will be played on 10 August 2025 starting at 13:00 BST.
And the Grand Finals will be played in person at the offline event in London on 16 August 2025.

4.2. Map Selection

4.2.1. Map Pool:

The map pool consists of Ascent, Bind, Corrode, Haven, Icebox, Lotus and Sunset.

4.2.2. Map Selection Process for Best-of-One Matches:

This process has to happen in the Challengermode lobby chat, for each game. The better-seeded (highest team in the bracket on Challengermode) team is Team A. Team A starts the process and the map for the Match will be selected according to the following procedure:

  • Team A bans 1 Map
  • Team B bans 1 Map
  • Team A bans 1 Map
  • Team B bans 1 Map
  • Team A bans 1 Map
  • Team B bans 1 Map
  • Map 7 is only Map remaining
  • Team A picks side

4.2.3. Map Selection Process for Best-of-Three Matches:

The better-seeded team will decide if they are either Team A or Team B. If the tournament in question has no predetermined seeding, the “better-seeded team” for purposes of this Section will be determined at random. When instructed in the map selection process, the Team must ban a map and cannot choose to skip the map ban. Team A starts the process and the map for the Match will be selected according to the following procedure:

  • Team A bans 1 Map
  • Team B bans 1 Map
  • Team A picks Map 1
  • Team B picks side for Map 1
  • Team B picks Map 2
  • Team A picks side for Map 2
  • Team A bans 1 Map
  • Team B bans 1 Map
  • Map 3 is only map remaining
  • Team A picks side for map 3

5. During the match
