@StuB• 07/07/2023Loading...In League of Legends, the average age of professional players tends to be relatively young, with many players starting their careers in their late teens or early twenties. There are of course also 'veteran' players in their mid-to-late twenties who continue to compete at a high level, often taking leadership roles within their teams. On average, most professional League of Legends players fall within the age range of 18 to 25.
CS:GO has a slightly higher average age for professional players compared to some other esports titles. Many players in CS:GO tend to start their careers in their early twenties and continue playing competitively into their late twenties and even thirties. The average CS:GO pro player is typically between 22 and 30. There are ofc outliers!
Valorant probably falls somewhere in the middle of the above two examples.
The average length of a pro's esport career is around 5/6 years. There is real work to be done in the industry around "life after esports" for pro players - we need to collectively improve how we support in the transition from pro player to post-career life.
