Fnatic x Lamzu Thorn Review

Hello guys!!

Im having the Fnatic x Lamzu Thorn about a week now and here I wanted to tell you my opinion and view to the mouse!

Whats in the box and etc. I mentioned everything as I got the mouse packaging

Mouse and sound:

The shape of the mouse and the ergonomic aspect matches perfectly to me. It feels like your hand goes on and it fits perfectly to your hand. The ergonomic shape isn't like every mouse on the market, it has is own unique shape in the market. Also the positioning for the fingers are really good made with this shape, as well as the side buttons. The side buttons are big enough and have good very good spots to be placed. The wheel on top of the mouse is also very good and feels good as well, also the sound and feeling when scrolling is also very pleasant. The mouse buttons (left, right click) is very clicky and precise, I really love the sound of the click the mouse does. The PTFE-Gliders on the bottom side of the mouse are very good and feels smooth while moving. I don't have any problems with the sensor and it is very precise.

Quality:

I don't have to say much, but the quality of the mouse, flexible cabel, also the 4k dongle, everything feels super high quality and I swear, this is the best mouse you will ever have in hand, the feeling, the smoothness holding the mouse feels very good in my opinion.

1000-4000HZ, battery life:

The battery life is in my opinion really good. When you have set 1000Hz, it feels like the battery life is never ending, in my view I got around 5days now without even charging and playing a lot of league of legends and it has still 50% of battery. I would say it has ca. 80-100hours using the mouse without charging on 1000Hz and I am very satisfied about that. On the other hand having the mouse set on 4000Hz the battery decreases heavily. The mouse has about 10-20hours using it on 4000Hz. The difference between 1000Hz isn't that big and personally I feel a little bit of difference, but not as I realise that heavily, so it depends on you having more precise and quicker mouse and to decrease the battery life or having also a very good mouse on 1000Hz as casual nowadays and it feels like the same. Personally I would use 4000Hz when I want to grind in Valorant, Counter Strike, etc.

All in all I am very satisfied about the battery life.

Software:

The software is very simple and has all what you need. At 1000Hz you can decide between ''LP'' and ''HP'', that stand for lower perfomance and higher perfomance, personally I don't feel any difference, but the battery life decreased slightly having high perfomance on. The peak perfomance mode is the time, when the mouse goes into the sleep mode, personally I have choosen 1min, because you won't have any delay moving your mouse after it been in sleep mode, it is saving some more battery and this is nice. Ripple control and angle snapping is when you're using photoshop so I won't activate that and motion sync is for better and more precise interactions. The DPI light effect is in my opininon useless, but if you want to, you can turn it on.

I have no problems with the software so far, everything is working fine.

EDIT (1MONTH LATER): I wouldn't recommend motion sync anymore, after testing a more longer time, I realised a small delay having motion sync on.

ADDITIONALLY activate HP, the high perfomance mode, so you don't have any delay using the mouse wireless.

Things I may not like:

The anti-dust/protective film for the bottom side of the mouse is good really good to have, but I dont like that esspecially in the first days, that the PTFE-Gliders got around them much on dust and it felt like a magnet for cat hair. So I pulled the cat hair and dust away before I started playing, because it is not that nice, so have clean set-up, at least a clean mousepad!! I accepted that and after a few days it isn't anymore that horrible than at the beginning but in my opinion that shouldn't be.

Also I may not like is, that you can't set some profiles with macros and DPI for each game or generally any type of profile you want. Personally I don't need that feature, but it is missing and I am sure many of you like to have a profile for each game you playing. I hope Lamzu will add that soon in the software.

For which type of players?:

In my opinion, the lamzu thorn is for everyone made. The palm and claw grip feels really good and the fingertip too. I think it can be used for every game you like.

May you don't like ergonomic mice, so it doesn't fits you. But I also think, as a player, that used for 3 years a symmetrical mouse, that you can give the Lamzu Thorn a try!

Price and recommendation:

Is the price of 110€ justified? Personally I think, YES! At that price point you won't get any better mouse on the market. After watching some tests of the mouse, for example the reaction time etc., this has to be the best and fastest mouse in the entire market of mice, not gonna lie. For 110€ you get a great experience unboxing the mouse, the highest of quality you can get and some accesoires (stickers, grip tape, new PTFE-Gliders, anti-dust/protective film etc.). The first few days using the mouse was at the beginning a bit hard for me, because I came from a symmetrical mouse to an ergo shaped mouse. Before I bought it, I was worried about that, because I felt super comfy on a symmetrical, so it took a few days to get used to this shape. And after about one week, it fits so good in my hand I won't ever switch to an other mouse again xd.

All in all I really can recommend you the Fnatic x Lamzu Thorn, I really believe, that you will love the mouse same as me and it will fit you for sure after a few days getting used to it.

Also it is so good matching to the Fnatic LED Sign I have 🤗🤗

I hope you liked my review and helped you with your decision!!!!

Loading...@kutxi Uhmmm definitly not because of the mouse. I had the same, all the time my FPS throw hard and it was kinda unplayable for me as an adc. I had LoL on my HDD, so I deleted it and I moved the game to the SSD. Since the game is on my SSD I don't even any lags anymore. Maybe thats the solution?

Loading...@James You can really try the mouse when you're interested into the mouse, for me at least as I used 2 years a symmetrical mouse, I really can recommend you the Lamzu Thorn, at least to try that one week and if the ergonomic shape still doesnt fit you, I am sure you can send the mouse back and get the money you payed for
