FNATIC ASSEMBLED: Tournament Rules
INTRODUCTION AND ELIGIBILITY
- Fnatic Assembled (the Tournament) is an open Tournament in Marvel Rivals (the Game) organised by Fnatic Ltd and Red Bull.
- There will be up to 22 teams in the Tournament. Teams will consist of 6 players (individually a Participant and together a Team). One Participant will be designated as the Team’s captain (Team Captain) and will be the main point of contact with the Tournament organisers. The Team Captain will be invited to join a Discord for centralised communication prior to and during the Tournament.
- To qualify for the Tournament, Participants must:
- have a valid main Marvel Rivals account;
- play on their main Marvel Rivals account;
- be a resident of the United Kingdom as of 4 October 2025 (such that they will play the Tournament from a location in the UK);
- be at least 18 years old as of 4 October 2025;
- be able to attend the in-person offline Grand Finals in London on 18 October 2025.
- Employees of Fnatic, Red Bull, NetEase and all associated companies are not allowed to participate in this Tournament.
- Participation in the Tournament by the Team, and each Participant, is subject to compliance with these T&Cs, Fnatic’s General Competition Terms, Social and Community Policy, Privacy Policy and any applicable terms of service which govern the Game. The Team Captain shall be responsible for ensuring that these are brought to the attention of each Participant in their Team.
- Everybody who is authorised by Fnatic to administer the Tournament based on its rules and regulations will be called an Admin. The collection of all Admins will be called the Administration.
FORMAT AND SCHEDULE
- The Tournament will start on 4 October 2025, at 12:00 BST, and finish on 18 October 2025 (the Tournament Window).
- The Tournament is a five (5) day Marvel Rivals tournament spanning across 2 weeks. The tournament will be played on PC.
- Matches will follow the following formats:
- Open Qualifiers: Best-of-Three (BO3) single elimination matches with the Top 2 teams advancing to the Group Stage
- Group Stage: The Top 2 Open Qualifiers teams will join 4 to 6 invited teams. All teams will be randomly drawn into 2 groups. This will occur after the Open Qualifiers but before the Group Stage game day and will be announced on the Tournament Discord. Group stage matches will be played as Best-of-Five (BO5) games in a double round robin format, with the winner of each group advancing to the in-person Grand Finals in London. The runner-up teams of each group will play each other in a last BO5 to determine a 3rd and 4th placement for the prize pool. In case the 2nd and 3rd place within each group have the same BO5 score at the end of the series, the team with the most overall combined kills in all their games will secure the higher placement.
- Finals: The Grand Finals in London will be played as a Best-of-Seven (BO7). The Grand Finals will take place in the Red Bull Gaming Sphere London, Whitby St, London, E1 6JT. The Grand Finals will be played on computers with the following specifications: Intel Core i9-10850k, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 3080, 32 GB RAM.
- Red Bull will arrange and cover reasonable costs of travel and accommodation for the Participants who qualify for the Grand Finals and live outside of London. Details will be communicated to the Participants in advance and will be determined at Red Bull’s discretion.
REGISTRATION
- All Participants have to sign up on Challengermode and create or join a Team.
- All players of a Team have to join the Tournament Discord and assign a Team Captain. The Team Captain needs to be assigned the Team Captain role on Challengermode.
- Teams have a check-in period of 60 minutes before the Tournament starts.
- The first 16 Teams to ready up for the Open Qualifiers in time with all their Participants will qualify for a spot in the Tournament on a first-come, first-served basis.
- There is no entry fee.
PRIZES
- The Team that wins the Grand Final will be crowned the victor(s). Each Participant of a victor team (a Victor) will receive the following prizes:
- Team in 1st place:
- 2500 Units per Victor
- £333.33 GBP per Victor (£2,000.00 total for the Team)
- Team in 2nd place:
- 1500 Units per Victor
- £166.66 GBP per Victor (£1,000.00 total for the Team)
- Team in 3rd place:
- 1000 Units per Victor
- £100.00 GBP per Victor (£600.00 total for the Team)
- Team in 4th place:
- 500 Units per Victor
- £66.66 GBP per Victor (£400.00 total for the Team)
- Team in 1st place:
(each a Prize)
- Victor(s) will be contacted by Fnatic via Discord from an official Fnatic representative within 7 days following the last date of the Tournament Window. Fnatic may need to request a Victor’s personal address, or other relevant information in order to provide and/or deliver the Prize(s).
- Victor(s) must confirm the requested information to Fnatic within 3 days of Fnatic’s notification. If a Victor fails to respond, Fnatic may revoke the Prize from the Victor.
- Prize(s) will be dispatched by Fnatic within 90 days from the date the Victor responds to Fnatic’s notification, to the relevant contact details and/or address provided by the Victor.
- The Prizes are as stated only, Fnatic will not pay out the cash value of any non-cash Prizes as an alternative.
MATCH RULES
- Participants must commit to playing the entire Tournament. Team Participants must remain the same for the entirety of the Tournament to ensure a level playing field. If Participants can no longer participate once the Tournament has started, the Administration will suggest the next steps, and the Participant may risk forfeiting their whole Team. This is at the Administration’s sole discretion.
- The Grand Finals will be played in person and live broadcast on Twitch.
- Each match where Teams are competing (each a Match) will be played at a time within the Tournament Window to be determined by the Administration at their sole discretion.
- Matches start at the time stated by the Admins. Matches cannot be started earlier.
- Matches cannot be postponed or rescheduled to another date or time for any reason, unless the previous Match runs for longer than planned.
- If one Team is not ready to start at the official Match time, the Admins, in their sole discretion, may disqualify the Team from the match or the Tournament. Admins may extend the punctuality deadline in exceptional circumstances to get the match played at their sole discretion.
Before the Match
- All Team Participants have to join the Tournament Discord server and check in with the Administration. All Participants must be available at the time the Matches start.
- Seeding:
- Open Qualifiers: The seeding will automatically be done by Challengermode at the start time of the tournament (that means uneven matches can happen in the first rounds).
- Group Stage: The Top 2 Open Qualifiers teams will join 4 to 6 invited teams. All teams will be randomly drawn into 2 groups. This will occur after the Open Qualifiers but before the Group Stage game day and will be announced on the Tournament Discord. - Maps & Map selection:
- The Tournament features all maps available in the current competitive mode at the start of the season 4.
- Convoy: Hellfire Gala Arakko, Tokyo 2099 Spider Islands, Empire of Eternal Night Midtown, Yggsgard Yggdrasill Path
- Convergence: Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda Hall of Djalia, Klyntar Symbiotic Surface, Empire of Eternal Night Central Park, K’Un-Lun Heart of Heaven
- Domination: Intergalactic Empire of Wakanda Birnin T’Challa, Hydra Charteris Base Hell’s Heaven, Hellfire Gala Krakoa, Klyntar Celestial Husk
- In all games, the maps will be decided by a randomised wheel. Admins will post the map selection on the Tournament Discord for every round. The initial sides will be randomly selected by the system. From the second map onward, the team that won the previous map will choose the side.
- The Tournament features all maps available in the current competitive mode at the start of the season 4.
- Hero Ban & Pick Process:
- The ban and pick process will take place in the game lobby before each map starts.
- Teams cannot pick a hero that the other team has picked within the same map.
- Heroes on a team cannot be changed within one map once the selection at the start of the map has been made.
- All matches in this tournament follow the following Snake draft:
- Team A bans the first hero
- Team B bans the first hero
- Team A bans the second hero
- Team B bans the second hero
- Team A bans the third hero
- Team B bans the third hero
- Team A picks their first hero
- Team B picks their first hero
- Team B picks their second hero
- Team A picks their second hero
- Team A picks their third hero
- Team B picks their third hero
- Team A picks their fourth hero
- Team B picks their fourth hero
- Team B picks their fifth hero
- Team A picks their fifth hero
- Team A picks their sixth hero
- Team B picks their sixth hero
- The Team Captain is responsible for hero bans and picks in the game lobby prior to the game starting.
During the Match
- If one Team is not ready to start at the official Match time, the Admins, in their sole discretion, may disqualify the Team from the match or the Tournament. Admins may extend the punctuality deadline in exceptional circumstances to get the match played at their sole discretion.
- From the time a Match begins, Participants are prohibited from intentionally disconnecting from the Match. If a Participant or Team disconnects intentionally after the Match has started, the Match will continue with the remaining Participants and will not be restarted.
- A Team may request a Match restart if the fairness of the Match is seriously compromised by an issue outside of the Participants’ control. Matters that may lead to the Match being restarted include but are not limited to:
- Participants using 3rd party tools or software in breach of the Game’s terms of service; or
- if the Game crashes for all Participants in the Match.
- All restart requests need to be flagged to the Administration with supporting evidence before a restart can be actioned. A decision on a Match restart will be at the sole discretion of the Administration.
- If Participants are found guilty of bug abuse or in breach of the Game’s terms of service, they may face consequences including automatic disqualification. All punishment will be at the sole discretion of the Administration.
After the Match
- Each Team Captain must submit each game’s score via Challengermode within 5 minutes when the game finishes. Additionally, each Team Captain needs to be able to provide proof of game score, where necessary. This evidence must be a screenshot of the end-game leaderboard. Tournament staff will be monitoring the games, but will still require scores to be submitted by each Team Captain via Challengermode. In case of a protest or wrong score entered into Challengermode, both Team Captains have to share the screenshot of the end-game leaderboard in the Tournament Discord.
- Every Participant must save their own replays of all Matches for at least seven (7) days. Upon request by an Admin, each Participant must submit the replay to the Administration within 24 hours. Failing to comply with this request may result in punishment.
- Protest against any other sort of rule violation by a Participant can only be reported with video evidence. The protest must include a specific timestamp when the violation took place, the name of the Participant who committed the violation, as well as a clear description of what happened. Protests that either lack evidence or details such as timestamps and descriptions will be discarded. All protests must be sent to an Admin via the Tournament Discord server or through the Tournament email address: community@fnatic.com.
Streaming
- Each Participant may live-stream the entirety of their Matches with the permission of the Administrators. Permission should be sought through the Tournament Discord server or by emailing community@fnatic.com.
- Each Participant that receives permission to stream their Matches must add to their stream (and maintain at all relevant times throughout the Tournament):
- Tournament branding (in the form distributed by the Administration).
- A stream delay of 3 minutes or more.
ADMINISTRATION AND COMMUNICATION
- Every Participant acknowledges the right of the Administration to modify the rules and regulations for adjustments at any time without notice, and if necessary, overrule those to ensure fair play and integrity throughout the Tournament.
- Every Participant must be respectful towards Admins and other Participants. Insults and unfair or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated and will be punished in accordance with these rules.
- Every Participant has to try to win every Match of the Tournament. Purposefully losing for any reason is strictly forbidden.
- Vulgar, racist, sexist or otherwise offensive player names are forbidden. This will be at the sole discretion of the Tournament Admins.
- Every Participant acknowledges the right of the Administration to edit players’ names if names are deemed unfit for display.
- Every Participant in the Tournament consents to the collection of footage, photo and audio material displaying or voicing them during the Tournament to be stored and used for announcements, website content and other publications by Fnatic unrestricted and unlimited in terms of time and place.
- All communication between Participants and the Administration has to be held in English at any time and at any stage of the Tournament.
- The Administration may only be contacted via the following e-mail address: community@fnatic.com or Tournament Chat or Discord. This helps Admins to coordinate as a team and work faster on issues. It will be the sole responsibility of Fnatic to manage communications on behalf of the Administration between Participants and the Administration. Any other form of communication shall be ignored.
PUNISHMENTS
- The punishments for any rule violations include, but are not limited to:
- Team loss of one Match
- Disqualification from the Tournament
- Disqualification from future Tournaments
- A decision of an appropriate punishment shall be at the Administration’s sole discretion.
