Lost something meaningful

Hey fellow Fnatics,

for some of you, this might be overexaggerated, but around 1.5 months ago I lost something, that accompanied me day in and day out over the last 8 years.

Right after we took this picture on the 26th March of 2015 Yellowstar gifted me a black Fnatic gummy wrist band (The one on the bottom of the following picture)

The fact that - on my first ever EU LCS visit - I receive a little something not just from anybody, but from our captain himself, was an honor for me. So much so that I decided to put it on and let it become a part of my daily life.

I slept with it, I had it on while showering or when swimming. It even outlasted a multi-year relationship. The only occasions I took it off were when I wore a costume. Because a sith lord (e.g.) wearing a gummy wristband does not fit very well.

Well what do I say. It all happened on April 13 2023. While I took a shower in the morning, my eyes caught an unusual sight - my left arm was bare. No gummy wristband. The moment I realized I lost it I tried to stay calm. I did not take it off on purpose. But maybe it somehow got off my arm while taking off my gloves (which I wore while jogging).

Here is the final picture I own of me wearing it.

I went to look for it - searching at my workplace, through my whole flat as well as the whole route that I took while jogging. No sight of what over the years became an holy artifact for me.

My last hope - that it might appear out of nowhere or that someone might be playing an evil joke - vanished with it being gone for so long now. I have to live with the thought of it ever returning.

By submitting this post i wanted to mourn one final time and have a proper goodbye for what meant so much to me, before focusing on what is ahead.
