boaster as IGL

a bit of a serious note. i know in player picks and online, people only ever choose IGLs like FNS, ange1, saadhak, etc. I've only ever seen Benkai pick Boaster as his pick for an IGL

i find people keep discounting boaster as an IGL just because he has amazing teammates. yes, the other boys make calls too but he's a true leader for me especially when comparing comms videos with other teams. he's embodied so many traits like empathy (see video when alfajer was new and their mean tweets video), hard work (the time he puts in vod reviews and antistratting), leadership (coming from previous intl tourneys, he's worked on his mechanical skills so much), and more and yet people just see him as a theater kid who's quirky :/

i just feel like he deserves so much more recognition

Loading...you’re so right but i think its what makes him special. he is the perfect balance of serious when he needs to be, but he’s warm hearted towards his team in and out of the game, and he knows to lift them up when he needs to, but be stern when needed as well. we love jake 🥹🧡

Loading...I think you are right on the empathy part, but as igl I would still put people above him, not that they would suit fnc better, i think boaster is perfect for this Team, but I feel like there are better igl's especially in america, like fns or (only judging from ingame performance) runi and kingg.

Loading...I definitely agree! I feel like IGLs are in those positions where if the team is performing well, they get ignored, but if the team is performing poorly, they’re the first to take the blame. One example is KC, which had really good players, but Scream on IGL which didn’t seem to suit him or the team. Boaster might not frag out the majority of the time, but I’ve always thought that he’s one of the top IGLs because he’s able to keep and lead all of these top players.

Loading...@florabunda YES EXACTLY i even watched a caster say they're a Derke enjoyer but don't forget your Leos, Alfas, and Chronicles only excluding Boaster specifically :/ not to mention, Derke and Alfajer were members of the team for a bit of time back when they were losing/not winning trophies and yet right now they're shining as top players on the same team with the same IGL and coach. i just want to say it's not only because they acquired Leo and Chronicle
