Pc problems

Need help with stuttering and glitches on a new PC setup!

I recently upgraded my PC and now have:

Ryzen 5 5600X (6-core, 3.7GHz)

32GB DDR4 RAM

MSI 3060 12GB GPU

1TB SSD (brand new)

AMD B450 Gaming Motherboard

Despite the upgrade, I’m having some strange issues:

In Rust, the game stutters for a second every 10-20 seconds.

In Red Dead Online, pressing ESC doesn’t bring up the menu, the skinning animation doesn’t load, and my horse occasionally turns invisible.

My internet is fine (300Mbps download, 100Mbps upload), and the SSD is brand new.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what might be causing it or how to fix it?

Woah there! You need to be logged in to reply to this discussion.

Loading...First, I would check if the parts are compatible with each other: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/. Then, make sure all the connections and components are properly plugged in and secured. You can also try using your old SSD or HDD to see if the issue is with the new SSD.

Loading...Are you on a clean installation of windows? for me despite upgrading my PC, my performance didn’t change much but after reinstalling windows it jumped and was alot more smooth in and out of games, could be something you could try if you aren’t on a fresh install currently
