Not our best week but...
This week hasn’t been easy; we have 1 win and 3 losses, and it stings a bit.
But hey, it’s not all negative despite some people’s reactions. It’s only the first week, and we’ve still seen quite a few positive signs.
CS: We faced the Major champions with a new roster and showed some solid plays. It gives me hope, even if the result was a tough 0-2 loss.
We’ll see against OG whether it was real hope or just a mirage in our long journey through the desert.
Valo: It’s hard to draw conclusions because, despite the loss and the throw in game 3, the BO was really close, and we saw a lot of good things (as well as some bad ones).
Sure, Kaajak didn’t have his best game, but he’s still a rookie, and it wasn’t the disaster some are making it out to be. In direct comparison with the other duelist, he was ahead in metrics: 202 ACS vs. 195, 46 kills vs. 43, 45 deaths vs. 51. So yeah, he didn’t make flashy plays, but for a first match, it’s acceptable.
On Abyss, we threw so many rounds because of time, it's issues that they can improve on. That’s why I’m hopeful that we’ll get back to a level that meets fans' expectations, maybe not 2023’s level, but at least enough to be a contender for the Master.
LoL: This is probably the hardest to judge. First, they’re BO1, and on top of that, both games were stomps, making it difficult to say much more. I have high hopes for this roster, but I’ll wait until next week to form a positive or negative opinion.
In the end, this is just my opinion, but I wanted to balance all the negativity with a bit of positivity for the players but even for us the fans
