I visited the Dreamhack Leipzig with some friends who play League on and off (we were all bronze - plat) and we decided to sign up for the tournament, knowing that we will get kicked out by the first gold/plat+ team we meet.
So yes I was plat back then and I'd say it was a fun 5v5 because we knew there is no chance we'll win that tournament.
