Valorant OT

If anyone watched the EMEA today, the match between map 1 BBL and FUT was the longest recorded tier 1 map in the EMEA since the start of competitive Valorant, a whopping 25-23 for BBL. Twelve overtimes were needed. My question now is, is a rework of OT needed to avoid stuff like this in the future?

Loading...I Think the overtime we have now is a Good Version, because it is Fair for Both Teams. I know it might take some time to get a winner but i dont know how you want to create a Overtime wich is shorter but still fair for Both Teams

Loading...I’d say occasional extended OT is fine, but when you hit double-digit OTs it becomes way too much. I have couple of ideas but not sure how realistic they are. 1. Cap the number of full OT cycles, then trigger a “golden” tiebreaker: e.g. after 2 OTs, play a single best-of-5 pistol-round sudden-death (each round one pistol per side) or a single “mini-half” of 5 rounds each side, side-switch halfway. 2. CS:GO–style OT. You play 3 rounds as T, 3 as CT (no econ resets in-between), then repeat if still tied—so each OT is 6 rounds instead of 4. This reduces restart overhead and gives more breathing room without going infinite.

Loading...@Khachig What about instead of Overtime Both Teams has to Play a Round Spike Rush to disceide the Game. I know it would be more Chaos and less Tactical but also much fun to Watch

Loading...@Khachig Ich quite Like the Idea of caping Overtime and do a Like Golden Pistol round But to make ist Equal i would say do a Classic only Round with halfshield and alles abilitys up. But no Ults because ults would be to strong
