Kkajak tattoo Censorship

At first I thought KKajak hurt his arm but then I realized that the Champs event is likely forcing him/FNC to censor his tattoo. His tattoo is “皮艇” in Chinese which literally translates to kayak (the boat). If it was profanity I would understand, but it seems a little 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 up and biased to censor his tattoo. What do you think?

Loading...I don't know exactly but even in korea, they hide their tattoo (cause tattoo still have negative image) on tv show or some of stream. I think the valorant is global show so they hide it for some country that think negative on tattoo. Or maybe other reason

Loading...Some chines signs means more then one thing I heard so might be something offensive when it is by ifself but not if it is together with other symbols and create a sentance. Not sure though

Loading...@Tezzandra That makes total sense, like English can kinda be like that. Like if you had “ harass” as a tattoo and then the har- gets covered by a shirt sleeve. Now I’m super curious if the characters have a meaning like this!

Loading...I remember seeing it when we played against mibr and someone on enemy team had a half sleeve and nothing was covered. So I'm guessing the Chinese characters are the issue and not tattoos in general. But yeah, it's weird.

Loading...I suppose that since the broadcast is international and not local, certain countries probably don't view it favorably (I'm thinking of China here).

Loading...@Franky I thought the same thing, but there are literally Chinese teams onstage playing a (correct me if I’m wrong) Chinese owned game. I generally don’t know what’s the reasoning is either. Very weirrrrrd
