As a teenager, I missed parties and stayed up late before tests just to watch matches because I loved this organization. I’m not very vocal on social media, but I can safely say my neighbors probably hated me for how loud I got cheering during games. I rarely missed a match, no matter the title.
But in recent years, that changed. It went from watching every game, to turning off matches early because I already knew how it would end… to not watching at all anymore. That hurts more than I can explain. I want to watch and support, but when you already know how it’s going to look and end, it just feels pointless to sit there and feel awful afterwards.
It’s been like this for 6+ years now. The only thing still holding me here is the Valorant squad.
Over the years, I’ve heard ex-players, coaches, staff, and others talk about how bad the management was/is and how poorly they were treated. I held my tongue, thinking things would get better, that this was just another bad phase. But the years keep passing, more staff keep leaving, and the same management stays, even while so many people point to them as the problem.
What the f*ck happened to the organization I loved?
I see young rookies join this org and leave broken and depressed. I don’t care if this organization wins everything, that’s not what made me love it. This org used to have heart and soul and we used to be atleast competitive. Now it feels like everyone leaves with frustration, anger and resentment.
I have zero hate toward the players, coaches, or staff who are doing their best. But from the outside, the organization itself feels rotten to the core.
So I’m done. Until something actually changes at the root of these problems, I won’t support the org anymore.
I still wish all the squads the best nonetheless.
