How far would you travel for a single day event?

If something was hosted as a single day or single night event, how close would it have to be for you to go?

Upvote the comment that fits. Time is one way.

Travel time is by bus/car or train. Flights or boat are not counted as they are often expensive.

Also curious if it matters whether the event is officially supported by Fnatic in some way or form.

Loading...Id travel across the globe for the world finals. Sadly tickets are almost impossible to get unless from a scalper. I would do the same for a world cup final with England in it one day 🥲 for something like LEC? Less than 1 hour (:

Loading...I'd say - just like many of us - depends on the exclusivity of the said event. Since I live in the deepest backwater town anyways, I am more or less forced to travel at least 2-5h until I reach any major destination, so I could say if it's really worth it, such as a once in a year major event, I can take any travel distance in EU, as long as: > I don't need extra visa for it (starring menacingly at you, London MSI) > I don't pay more than 250 Euros for plane tickets (return ticket incl.) > More than just one day (otherwise I won't be investing for longer travel) > I'm deadly sure I will see Fnatic playing there; or at least a significant team presence > I'm not alone. However, there's one single exception for a certain non-Esports related event that I am going to take an extra step to apply for visa for attending, and it's Final Fantasy XIV Fanfest in London. It's held once in two years and I live and breathe the game, so it's natural I have priority on it. Otherwise if it's like something minor in regional areas where I live, then I'd take no more than 2h - and there's only one major city in that range, and it's Munich. Something major there? You'll most likely see me there. Anywhere else is too far for a short term trip.

Loading...I think it depends on the hype of the event. I travelled 3 hours by plane for a day at Cologne and will be doing around the same for MSI in London, even though I'm already in UK. Sometimes flying is easier. Definitely think 2-3 hours is a good max though

Loading...As an Australian resident I don't have many options to attend events by Car/Train. Currently really considering making the trip to Japan for VCT Masters as I feel like it's the closest Valorant & Fnatic will ever get to Australia, but I think this is definitely the furthest I'd go and I'm really weighing up my options.

Loading...I traveled to Berlin for LEC before. Roughly 850km or 8h by train. That’s my max. But it depends on exclusivity of the event. If it’s a once in a lifetime chance I’d consider more. Fun fact: my first visit to LEC the train was canceled due to a bad storm. I got there a day late by taxi (DB paid). I missed the first day of games but a good soul at riot saw my tweets about the struggle and I got invited to the studio for a backstage tour with a scheduled fan club. The memories! Oh and it was right after Rekkles got unbenched and I got to meet him at the meet and greet. 🧡🖤🧡
