Valorant 2024 was nothing but shameful

I have no intention of being rude or hateful, just speaking from an objective point of view.

This year

1) Didn’t make it to the 1st event

2) Made it to the second but played horribly and got immediately humbled

3) Now at champions we only beat “terrible teams” kru and bili bili are bad and the only other victory we have is against g2 which was excellent.

The moment we played against a good team we lost (SEN,TH,DRX)

Okay this is an edit after thinking about it shameful would be wrong word to use I still think it’s disappointing and the team probably needs to hear it

Loading...Im sure the team is disappointed, but this year was still not that bad, it feels much worse because fnc just got off probably the best year of any vct team yet. They still looked good, the only game that actually felt rough was the FUT loss in shanghai. They SEN game was close, they wouldve had a very good chance if they thought about the map veto a bit more. Also had to deal with a player getting ill, a headcoach change... and they still did good at champs and regionals. As a fan I was for sure heartbroken sometimes but they still look like they have it in them and now we can only hope for a good next season

Loading...i wouldn't say that it was fnc's best season (obv) but the backlash the guys get is crazy. they had a rocky start and came back from that, fought their way up and became the comback kings of the 2024 vcts. and all that with leo being sick and later having to be replaced. we love hiro but he was a new addition and that is also an added difficulty. could they have done better? yeah, definitely. but you cannot expect a team to outperform every single time. i think they did well with the situation they were in. not great, but it happens. we're still proud of them!

Loading...shameful is a harsh word. but i understand why it is a disappointing season. however i think it’s also important to note how rocky the team performance was at the start of this season. if we compared the achievement to last year, yeah its a bit disappointing but if we just focus on how we start this year, i think the result is good enough esp with leo circumstances too :c

Loading...I agree it was a bad year internationally, at least they won 2 EMEA titles. Leo should be back for 2025 as for other changes I am not sure. Alfajer had pretty bad performances at this Champs except when they played haven, they still probably keep him though with derke and chron. Boaster is a ? for me , he needs to step it up the most. Everyone prays him for tactics and such but today…they unacceptably threw a 11-8 lead on sunset, and lotus was a disaster and most of it has to be because of IGLing, not really shooting issues.

Loading...But we dominated the regionals. I mean the reverse sweep against TH for example. And at Champs we performed very well too! I mean 5th-6th is a big result. And btw: they did nothing shameful.

Loading...It only speaks to the quality of this team that someone would consider a 5th/6th place at champions (aka the absolute best of the best teams) "shameful". Personally if we had gone out after the th game I wouldve agreed, but the win against g2 and the really good fight against Sen were nothing but. Sure we didnt win champs, yeah it sucks, but seeing how we started the year I think that ending is not bad at all

Loading...@luma_98 Fnatic had an easy group. In international play offs they are 1-4 this year. How is this not shameful when they were the best roster last year and didn't make any changes.

Loading...Don’t forget that 1) we beat TH a few times, 2) we played with a sub half the season, 3) a lot of the games we lost were quite close, 4) we finished 5-6th at champs which is very big, if you don’t think about winning first place only. Not sure about this intention to not be rude or hateful since that’s exactly how you came off with this post. Let’s acknowledge that the team did still quite ok regardless of all bumps they had this season. This “objective” point of view does nothing but throw shit at them. I know everyone wants them to win, I really hope they’ll get the title someday, but considering that they still are considered a worthy and challenging opponent by so many good teams, I’d say they’ve done us proud. There’s nothing they did that is shameful.

Loading...@twlavinia TH beat relatively comfortably I don’t care if we beat them in region intact it’s the exact reason of my frustration name one good international team we beat that isn’t G2 region wins don’t matter on international stage our positioning this year was null, 7-8th and 5-6th calling is a decent year is disrespectful to the team
