Map pool

So I was thinking: with Fracture out of the loop and Haven looking bad for us, what are our good maps?

  • Ascent looked great today, but we know how Ascent is. Always a 50-50 in my eyes.

  • Sunset was better last time we played it and we didn't win then either. And yesterday sucked tbh.

  • Icebox is good, but we are not the only good team on it. Second best map I guess?

  • Lotus is our best map by far rn. No doubt.

  • Pearl is ???? But I remember we were good on it when we had to play it. For now it stays a mystery, but if we go to finals (🤞🏼) we are playing it for sure.

As much as I believe in this team because they can be the best when they are locked in, I think our map pool is shaky. So we depend a lot on the boys playing their best Valorant every series to compensate.

But what do you all think about our map pool?

Can't believe I miss Breeze.

Loading...I think our sunset is more rusty than anything else, our perma is Pearl anyway. Same for Haven It's not great but it's not that bad either. It's more a US problem where we keep missplaying than anything else imo

Loading...@Franky Sunset is weird. We are for sure rusty there, but we didn't win on it before either (except once? The game when Hiro defused with 0.01 secs maybe?). So it's a gamble, and I think Sen will pick it as first map since we won't ban it. They are good on it and have already beaten us once, so they are gonna be confident. I'm not sure what we are gonna pick. Maybe Split if it's not banned or Ascent since Sentinels have been banning it and we did well last time. Now that I think about it, we might have a better map pool than them? But I don't think we are choosing Haven until we fix our issues.

Loading...Think we have 4 good maps : Lotus Split Icebox and Ascent We have 1 map where we did few mistakes which cost us the map: sunset I think our sunset is good but we got clutched important rounds which made us tilt Haven is rough cause we didn't bring anything New and People are used to our comp but we were not playing our game vs rrq tbh So i think we have 5 good maps

Loading...We also have Split, but its often banned by the other Team (except they bann Lotus). But in my opinion we dont have the best map pool now and we have to look out for ways to fix it. And there are ways I would think. But I also would guess Boaster, Milan and Scott will do smth to fix it up.

Loading...@Giffo You are right, I forgot Split! I would say that is our 2nd best map then and Icebox 3rd. Let's hope they do. I understand they don't have much time to fix things, but still. It would be sad if it costs us the tourney.

Loading...The biggest problem I have with the agent comp on haven is that it entirely relies on Alfa popping off to get value from the iso and if he has a slower start then it’s not gonna get the value it could. I think putting him back on a sentinel would be a better idea. And sunset I don’t think fundamentally we know how to play and work the map so honestly that should go back to being a perma ban for us to be honest

Loading...@DTR I would like to see a new comp for Haven tbh. In any case something gotta change before next game. PRX is more likely to go Sunset, but Sentinels could go either way.

Loading...I’d say we should ban Haven and Sunset, but it’s quite likely the opponent would select one of the two in the first round anyways.

Loading...@Jaacky I feel like we could do Haven, but Sunset doesn’t really fit how they play cuz it’s a small map with limited space.
