CS current state

Alright im curious about your opinions, i've tried following cs team the last few years. We see an upwards path is set. And it got me hyped a bit.

Then the Jackasmo situation came up.

I can't get my head around it. Sure Cypher had his ups and downs but thats kinda his playstyle and the entry frag role.

Replacing him with Jackasmo seemed, weird? I tried to stay open minded but the lack of practice and lack of entry fragger didnt seem up to par with the skill difference between both. Sure if you can get a superstar, go for it but i dont think they are that far apart.

Budapest made something clear for me. Uncle Krimz can stay up to par with the big boys, he is just a bit weird in the lower tiers.

BlameF is the superstar of the team.

Jambo struggled hard in Budapest, but to me he can still handle the level of play just a few offdays.

Jackasmo is not there yet, sure he is promising but definitely Not worth the struggle you put the org and team in.

Fear... I dont know man. I think we as a team make some extremely weird decisions especially when nearing the end of the map. A real leader should be able to fix that. His fragging is horrible, most of the time its understandable cause of his role and weapons. But he has to step up. at least a bit in that department.

The org is hated after the Cypher decision which in time will hurt the org even more cause other players see this situation happening to.

So what do you guys think, what do you expect in the major and was this decision the correct one?

On another note, the interview last week was nice, but content is just non existing. I mean come on look at mouz, faze, g2. The fan commitment will keep dropping this way. It cant be that hard to at least do some shorts, so we can see a glimpse of personalities. But ok thats a fnatic overall problem. Only valo gets some attention, which is probably Boasters personality which makes it easier.

Loading...I think that we are heading in the right direction. If you believe the rumors, fnatic is Planung to buy another ukrainian riffler who could play the new entry. So I guess they planned with jackasmo bedore they got into the major by pure luck, because VP has to skip an Event. Yes, fear is bad with the stats but he has been better before. Every time the roster had time to grow together, understands the roles and the game plan and he can stop micromanaging, he can focus more on his own game and frag more. This iterration of the team is the one for the major and there will be changes afterward I would say. I know that cypher not playing the major made people mad and I get it. But if the Choice was between him and KRIMZ - give the legend this Spot in this major. He worked so damn hard for it through thick and thin with this org. I believe in this team!

Loading...The situation with CS is unique. We were one of the best teams in the world, then we kept losing our edge until we hit rock bottom. So yes, we're climbing back up, but we're still far from what we used to be, and it's way too inconsistent for now. From the outside, the move with Cypher really looks like a dick move, but then again, we don't know what's really going on inside the team. As for content, we're clearly in a dry spell. I get that it's harder than in LoL or Valo since every player is in a different country, though maybe not for much longer, since we'll soon only have Ukrainians left. But it's fully remote, so it's tougher. Still, more content would help fans connect with the team, and when losses happen, it would hurt less thanks to the parasocial relationship that would develop

Loading...In my opinion the people who are hating fnatic about replacing cypher are emotional attached to him. Give credit to fnatic they try to improve the team, even though they reached the major. And reaching the major was not down to cypher, but an insane amount of luck. Yes, the last event wasn’t that great, but keep in mind that Fear and Jambo weren’t feeling great. Additionally, they’ve changed roles, positions and had almost no pracc. I feel after 4 weeks with practice and a bootcamp will help tremendously. Just be patient.
