Loading...Cojo's tweet about todays Valorant match brought up something that i feel is a recurring theme over the last couple of years. Players getting sick during the split. Not just with Valorant, but league too. He said they are not controllable but at a certain point it cant be a coincidence anymore right? We saw during the most recent LiA episode Razork was walking around with a blanket not feeling good. If he was sick, why is he even in the office? I get wanting to play trough some minor illness to not let the team down, but if it means the rest of the team gets sick and you waste a weeks worth of practice and have to play sick on stage, that can't be worth it right? I remember seeing people joke that fnatic players must be licking doorknobs seeing as how often they seem to be Ill. Now I'm sure thats not true, but what is being done to protect the players? If not from illness from others, then from forcing themselves to play trough illness and showing up to the office potentially contagious? It might not be as bad as I'm making it out to be now, but if it's not, then why even mention it? Am I wrong in thinking this seems to affect us more than others? Or is that only because we actually get told when players aren't at 100% where other orgs might not talk about it publicly? What do you guys think?

Loading...@Waflec Lol hasn't seemed that volatile at all recently. G2 won 5 out of the last 7 trophies over the last 2,5 years. And before 2021 they won everything in 2019 and 2020 too. So since 2019 thats 9 out of 13 titles. Like I said at the start of my comment: it hasn't been just one series.

Loading...The main answer is this: It's not just one bad series. The side of the community that is most negative has been around for a while, at least I am. And during the last couple of years, these this group has had nothing to Cheers about, nothing to reset that negative mental spiral. Just disappointment after disappointment. I guarantee you if we had won last split for example, or even lec finals last year, the negativity wouldnt be this bad. That is also the reason Management gets brought up so much, teams change year over year, so the "mental reset" does happen a little bit, but not enough to wash away the disappointment of the previous years. Management is constant. The reason it feels worse now is that we dont have the Valorant wins to balance out the disappointments from lol or cs teams. Winning something.... anything, would help alleviate a lot of the negativity, but the reality right now is just that winning anything right now feels like miles away. And people will want to vent that frustration.

Loading...We are still playing the same game as last year, same comp, same strats. Not hard to prepare for that. I'm afraid that if we dont use the time we get from missing out on Madrid to come up with something new, we're gonna see more results like this. Other teams have caught up while we stood pat. If we have to go off cojo (team manager) they changed the schedule and practice around to focus more on the later parts of the season to make a good run at champs in stead of burning out like last year. So Ill have some faith that this was just a warm up issues. But missing out on international practice in Madrid really hurts.

Loading...Fnatic has completely lost their once legendary reputation in CS. (And LoL isn't doing much better) @org managment: What is being done to rectify this? When will we see managment changes/accountability? Wasn't your whole stance after disastrous winter split last year that the buck stops at the top? Why is it radio silence after what was probably one of the worst weekends this org has seen? Whoever has been in charge of CS roster moves in the last couple of years has completely ran it down. And don't give us the "it's a team effort" bs. That is a lame excuse with the only purpose of shifting blame so ultimately no one is responsible and everyone can keep being mediocre. Do better, nobody deserves this.
