[Worlds Anthem 2023] GODS ft Newjeans

The worlds anthem music video just got dropped today which means its time for us to edit our tier lists for another year.

GODS by South Korean Kpop group Newjeans who reportedly entered the esports stratosphere thanks to a shoutout, from our favourite IGL, Boaster, at Valorant Champions!

The music video for this theme song portrays the undying journey that players go through in their campaign to win the LoL World Championship. Big focus on Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, the legendary ADC for Dplus KIA, who returns to defend his title. The video showcases iconic moments, including Deft's school days shared with Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok (funfact, they went to school together ^^) and dramatic scenes featuring some of these players most iconic champions such as Ezreal, Caitlyn, Karma and more. It also pays tribute to Deft's teammates who coined the phrase 'what’s important is an unbroken spirit' while winning the 2022 LoL World Championship.

There was even a shoutout to Fnatic legend Rekkles in the video dawning his famous kennen botlane which he flaunted in the 2015 World Championship against EDG!

Loading...Only speaking about the song, I find it nice, but it lack the hype, I don't feel like I have to try hard un ranked like Rise did. The animation was cool tho.

Loading...It's pretty decent! I prefer ones with a lot more rise and fall, something really catchy you can get behind and maybe sing along to, I feel like it's maybe a good background music track that will probably work well during their broadcasts as if it was too loud and punch could affect the voice overs
