Hot Take: League of Legends

What’s a hot take that will have you up on the stake about League?

Mine is that Gold is low elo, Plat and Dia are Mid, and only Masters to Challenger are High elo.

Explanation being, there are 9 ranks total. Gold being number 4 out of 9 makes it pretty low.

Loading...Learn to get carried Seriously. The biggest reason I see people throw leads, especially in low elo, is because they don’t want to play around the person with the most value on the team. Due to a majority of players having main protagonist syndrome and wanting to carry the game themselves instead of their 3/0 adc or 4/1 mid laner, they end up in “playmaking”situations that jeopardizes their team’s chances of winning in an attempt to put themselves in the spotlight. Just knowing when to get carried and helping the person carrying nearly guarantees the most free win ever.

Loading...My personal opinion is that ranks shifted a lot years by years, i remember that in s3 being plat required way more skill than being plat right now. I basically consider gold-plat mid elo, diam high elo, master+ pro players or real skill people (or lot of time 😅).

Loading...I 100% agree with this. I'd even say that Grandmasters to Challengers is high elo with how much Master tier players there is atm

For me, Platinum and Diamond should be considered high elo because although they are technically mid-tier if we use the 9 ranks, the percentage of players who manage to achieve those ranks is relatively low, making it high elo. > Iron represents 4.29% > Bronze 25.98% > Silver 34.12% > Gold 22.95% > **Platinum 10.43%** > **Diamond 1.86%** > **Master+ 0.3473%** **(So plat player are top 12,6%)**

Loading...Hot take: I think that toxicity isn't really a problem. What I mean is, if someone just says that I'm bad and insults my family, I don't really consider it a problem. Personally, it becomes a problem when it turns into racism, sexism, etc.
