Please Fnatic

Dear Fnatic,

I am writing to express my continued disappointment following our defeat in yesterday's Qualifer Betboom match. Especially in the last match the team looked very disjointed and was running around like headless chickens.

Over the past several weeks or months, Fnatic have lost in multiple open qualifiers without any clear indication of how the team plans to address these issues. As loyal fans, we invest not only our time but also our emotions into supporting Fnatic. Unfortunately, the silence from the organization regarding the recent performances only exacerbates our concerns.

With each passing day without communication, our enthusiasm for the team wanes, and our confidence in its ability to bounce to Tier 1 counterstrike deminish. We believe that Fnatic dont't have the required lineup (especially Bodyy and Afro) to break into Tier 1.

Therefore, I want to ask Fnatic to provide the fan insights what the plans are for the lineup or CS management while moving forward.

We love Fnatic, but given the current trajectory of the team, there's only so much we as fans can endure

Please Fnatic.

Loading...Hey @Toast90! Thanks a bunch for your support, and for sharing your concerns. Needless to say it was a big blow for us not qualifying for the Major. Think we did a solid "reboot" of the team end of last year, regaining our RMR eligibility where we ultimately fell short in the last stages of the qualifier. Definitely a tough one, not capitalizing on the great start we got over in Romania going up 2-1 w/ plenty of chances making it to the Major itself. I'm a believer that the results will have to speak for themselves so may leave you a bit disappointed with the level of insight and updates we can share at this point, cause we are here in the esports team at Fnatic now focusing on two things which includes preparing and supporting our team in the best possible way for the tournaments we are committed to, incl. EPL, while also actively exploring all options for the latter part of the year and the second Major cycle. Will do our best responding to your questions across our forums, and I also know that our content team is working on expanding on our coverage of CS - which for various reasons have not been done as well as other games like League of Legends and Valorant where you as fans are more brought in.

Loading...@cArn Thanks for responding, I don't want to sound overly critical abut then given how fnatic has performed for a long time, it's maybe not the time to build teams on over optimistic assumptions. Please take the time to read, I speak for a lot of people. Qualifying for the rmr is hardly anything to celebrate. You make top 32 in the EU doing so. No fnc team ever failed in doing that, even the one with peppzor. And back then it was also harder to qualify for rmrs because of fewer spots... The bo1s are normally viewed as brutal with room for upsets, there's good reason to also apply that logic in reverse. Fnatic managed to convert 2 bo1s due to winning some lucky swing rounds, converting pistols etc. Could easily have gone the other way in the 1-1 game... Generally 3 straight lost bo3s, 6 straight maps says more about a team... Not to mention failing EVERY qualifier you played since then. Be happy the flusha jw krimz core was there granting you a partnership in 2019... With bo3s and pressure hitting, guys like afro meant to perform went missing completely. He is the worst rated player on lan in 2024 who is not an igl. This is also not a one time thing, his lan performance has been extremely weak for a long time. Worst awper by far last 6 months on lan. All in all, I think you have to acknowledge that you F:ed up, big changes are necessary. Not player exclusive. No more we hear you customer support comments, there have been enough of those in the last few years. It can't be take seriously when things are only getting worse... So please, look in the mirror, are the people in charge (including yourself) scaring players away at this point? We know that many players, including brollan, opted for other options in november. NiP reached the conclusion that they were unattractive and kicked all management, coaching staff, analysts + 3/5 players and recently brought in threat and xizt to instead run the team. They obv have tremendous respect, thus now also been able to get really solid talent. An attractive salary and stable life in fnatic is surely great, but if you truly care about the success and legagy of this name, please consider any possibility. Even if that means you or close friends like samuelsson and/or keita stepping down from cs responsibilities. Or for that matter leaving the scene for a while until a better opportunity arrives like c9 did. No one gets joy from last minute roster after roster more mid than the previous... Not only did you sign an endpoint scout, the few times experts still talk about recent fnc rosters, they compare them to endpoint teams. Unworthy of our name. So please do something, no matter how painful and uncomfortable it might be. And good luck!

Loading...@cArn Hi carn, I think what @pontus767 said pretty much summarize what the most of us think. Please try to take time to read it and maybe give us some insight/your thoughts about it. Best regards

Loading...@cArn Hi @cArn, Thank you for your response. The performances what your are talking about worries the most in combination with the lack of interaction of Fnatic with their fans. It's troubling to see in your reaction that the open qualifiers being dismissed so quickly, especially since they serve as a significant measurement of the team's potential. We lost all, even an open qualifier against a FaceIt 5-stack for f-sake. Additionally, your mentioning that Fnatic is actively exploring options for the latter part of the year and the second major cycle. However, I urge you to consider making changes sooner rather than later to avoid last-minute roster adjustments. Like with the current roster. With May already underway, establishing a stable roster that has played together for some time is crucial. Regarding Fnatic's commitment to responding to fan questions, while I understand that you're expanding the content team, but would've it been beneficial to all to communicate this earlier. Regarding the issue of communication, a good example is Fnatic's participation in the Open Qualifier of Jöpköping. Surprisingly, there was no announcement from Fnatic CS Twitter, the main Twitter account, or any other social media platforms. And why don't you hop on discord from time-to-time as before? Furthermore, promises to expand the content team or the CS team as a whole, including analysts, have been made multiple times but have yet to be fulfilled. As fans, we are eager to see tangible changes rather than just promises. I echo @pontus767 and @Sextiz sentiment that changes are needed, not just on the player side. We want a good structure (coach, analyst, management) and players who can compete at the highest level. Seeing NIP undergo changes in management and secure top talent, such as Xizt as coach, alongside rumors of acquiring an assistant coach, analyst, and superior players compared to Fnatic, is disheartening. It begs the question: why didn't Fnatic seize similar opportunities when they arose? **Player do want to join NIP again! ** And why persist with this lineup when it is evident, especially from recent results, that it is not working out? The lack of success in recent (almost 6 months already) open qualifiers speaks volumes. I hope you take the time to carefully consider the feedback provided in this channel, other post, discord or twitter. These comments are made by individuals who share the same goal as you: make Fnatic great again! Thanks.

Loading...I agree with you, the combination of the lack of communication and the multiple lost qualifiers, makes me very disappointed. Yesterday was indeed very poor. The team lacked ambition, resilience and made a lot of mistakes. Don’t forget the multiple anti eco’s fnatic had lost. Something has to be done and I don’t think they should wait until after EPL because looking at the brackets, I don’t fnatic will come out of the groupstage. Lars89

Loading...I understand that the project is a long-term endeavor, but as a fan, it's tough to keep the faith when we constantly find ourselves being defeated by T2/T3 teams in tournaments where, at worst, we should lose in the finals. What's worse is that in these tournaments, we play against the same teams, yet you can never predict what will happen. One time we beat them, the next time we lose. This lack of consistency is incredibly frustrating. If only we were dominating the T2 scene, there would be some hope to cling to for a return to T1 in the near future.

Loading...I was about to write a similar post right now. We cant take this mediocre performance anymore. We lost (another) qualifier, so we will only play EPL this season and will be done with it. Kyubii made an interview where he stated that FNC doesnt pressure the players with results so... We dont care about not playing anything relevant? Do we settle with being a mediocre team? We need to know something. You say our goals is to get back to the top, do you really believe inside fnc this is the way/this is the roster? Are we really going to lose the opportunity to play EPL with a new roster and have some studio practice or we are going to play it with a dead roster??? We trully need some insight, what are our goals (the real ones, not PR answers) and what are our plans ahead of this month. We have made a bunch of posts and everyone have been ignored. Up to you if you want to keep your fanbase or you let it be to slowly die. Personally, this is the last time i even try to get some reaction, we all feel like fools talking to nobody.
