VALORANT Update

After further discussions with Leo, we've made the decision to finish the season without him, with Hiro continuing for Split 2 Playoffs and Champs.

We're also welcoming back Doma as sub [pending Riot approval] and Anderzz as Strategic Consultant.

Loading...Okay but I don't understand what the situation is with Leo and Hiro. All I know is that Leo is not going to play and Hiro will play. But is Leo benched ? If so, why ? Is Leo's contract not going to be renewed ? Are you letting Leo seek other opportunities? What is happening? Are there any issues between Leo and the other players of the team?

Loading...@Lina-Redd Leo is currently taking a break to look after his health, and Hiro has subbed into his role. After review and discussions, Leo will continue to rest and recuperate while Hiro will join the team for the remainder of Stage 2 and Champs. After champs, I suppose we'll find out about any off season tournaments and competitions as they come. I know everyone's wanting to know for sure what the final say is, but realistically, it's up to Leo to determine when he's well enough to play what has been a long and gruelling season again - and the last thing anyone wants is for him to rush back into things and make himself sick again. The team really seem to be blending well with Hiro and giving him a lot of support and confidence in a whirlwind of a season! We've heard from Leo himself that he backs this decision and will be supporting the team regardless

Loading...I can understand continuing with Hiro over Leo because I am guessing that Leo hasn't been able to practice at all due to his health but not even bringing him to champs as a 6th man is not something I expected. Hopefully everything is well and we don't end up losing him to another team next year.

Loading...@Orfeas Well, Leo himself made a statement that he's not health wise yet ready to compete again. So I'm guessing the motivation kind of comes from there, in the sense of stability? Sure, having Leo as 6th would be the most logical thing, but since CoJo says they keep in touch with him, it's probably just a situation where you can't know how things are going to fluctuate. And at that point it's just a safer bet for both the parties to just have a different 6th for the time being. But that's just a guess from me basically LOL
