Dear Fnatic,

It's been a while since the player break. During this break, Fnatic has had several opportunities to improve the team but, for certain reasons, chose not to.

Could we get some insight into why the decision was made not to make any changes to the team?

Looking at the current lineup, yes, we may receive a direct invite for the RMR, but I estimate our chances of advancing are slim.

At the moment, players like Cadian, Woro2K, etc. are still available, and I still believe these players would significantly strengthen the team. Additionally, there are rumors that MOUZ NXT players might be switching, and players like Spooke are quite affordable.

I would like to ask for more insight and, at the very least, some communication.

Loading...@cArn @cArn With all due respect, whats the point of qualifying for rmr of we can't beat anyone there? Shouldn't the focus be to find and develop talent instead of cruising with players we know dont have the floor or ceiling to compete at this level? You can't seriously be saying you're cruising with this roster till 2025? Might as well disband and pickup an orgless team at the end of the year if that is the plan.

Loading...@Rone7 What do you mean by trying? There were clear upgrades during the playerbreak for fnatic? I want to know the reason why didn’t go for them. Secondly, when was the last time fnatic won a t1 tournament? We haven’t won anything significant in the past 4 years.

Loading...Hey Toast! Since the acqusition of Blame in May-24 we have focused fully on improving our ranking ahead of the Major cutoff, which is coming up in a few days. In all games, and especially in CS2 given how open the transfer market is, we are constantly reviewing our options while of course doing our utmost to support the players of our current rosters. We opted to not conduct any changes in the Summer break, and after a short break we went back into online play and had a few successful runs in these cups which has positioned us decently when it comes to securing a direct invite to RMR. With or without RMR invite we clearly have work to do to improve our performance and consistency, cause as an organization we are not striving to be close to securing a direct invite to RMR, or not, but to fight in the absolute top. I am personally excited about the 2025 reset and we will do the appropriate calibration down the road we see fit to enter next year in the best possible way.

I hope it’s not because of the runs in those little tournaments. I dont want to get into a discussion, but its been a while now that our performance is not what it should be. Of course with the addition of BlameF it improved but realistically, its just not good enough. I am aware that you are focussing on 2025, but there are clearly weak links within the team, and why not building on players who can build and help younger players? Lastly, you are talking about succesful runs in cups. Sigh... Those are not the tournaments where fnatic should be competing in. Come on..We should be in Cologne etc...

"I am personally excited about the 2025 reset".** Why can't you do the reset now and stop wasting everyone's time and money? And what are consequences of not making the major. Will you and your take team responsibility and leave the CS management after making sure that fnatic CS had the worst year possible in past 20 years after failing to qualify for any of the majors or other big events in 2024?

Loading...@cArn First of all: thank you for finally responding to our questions. I get, that you cant say much about negociations and all that stuff. And I am happy about the direct invite to the RMRs. BlameF was a great addition and MATYS too. And when Afro is on fire it is amazing to watch. But I get that the fans are not excited about the recent results of the team, if you say you want to compete for the top, while the team doesnt attend any of the big tournaments and bomb out of every qualifier. Is there a support of a sports psychologist to help with the mental side of things? I Imagine it to be frustrating to fumble so many matches and the critisism in social media. Hopefully you guys are right and this squad pulls something out of there head for the RMRs and and the tournament ahead.
