App Update

Hey there - long time no see. We're excited to bring a fairly large new app update that has just hit Apple and Play Stores. It’s a big one but I’ll try and keep it brief (sort of)

Content

• Once you’ve updated you’ll see a change to your homepage! We’re now bringing in content from Fnatic channels straight to the app

• You can view shorts and react to them with more updates coming soon
• Based on the games you follow in the Fnatic App we’re also bringing in YouTube content for you all to view at your leisure
• New releases will be highlighted near the top as they roll out so keep an eye out for those
• All the video and twitter content can now be interacted with directly within the app not exposed outside anywhere else so we can keep the conversation within the Fnatic community

Predictions are here

• Visit any event on the app that hasn’t already finished (or started) and add in a prediction for the outcome of the game

• Each correct prediction will gain you 20XP and to start with we’re going with predicting the winner of the match as well as the outcome - in total you can gain 40XP per game

• Predictions will be expanded on in the future so let us know in the comments on the kinds of things you’d like to see
• Your first prediction will also guide you into our next feature

Friends

• We’re allowing the community to search for and invite other users in the app and send friend requests

• Friend requests will function much as you’d expect - find other Fnatic’s with their username and send them a request for them to approve or decline or share your profile with people outside the app to let them easily send you a friend request

• This comes with a new leaderboard type that is filtered to just your friends to see how your predictions and XP compete with one another
• At the moment the leaderboards are fairly buried that we aim to solve in a very near future release but wanted to let you all start connecting straight away

Finally - as it’s Valorant Champions season - a new badge is now also available. Hit I’m In on any event in the Champions series to claim your new badge and show your support!
